Disney Land/Sea in November

We are planning a trip to Orlando (Disney) in mid-November and are considering a land-sea option. From what I've read, this is the very end of storm/hurricane season, so while it's still technically the season and possible, tropical storms and hurricanes are not likely. Any words of wisdom for taking a November cruise? Also, are there enough rides at Magic Kindgom for a 2-1/2 year old to justify spending the adult admission fee for more than one day at Disney ($75 each per day)?

There are a ton of rides for him to go on, in fact except the rollercoaster(which is closed right now) and the log ride and maybe the haunted mansion I can't think of that much that our 3 little boys haven't gone on. You'll have a blast and it's a great time to go since it won't be super crowded. Have fun.

Arlene,

We have been to Orlando and Tampa (my sister lives there) in November many times and never have had any weather problems. As for the rides at the Magic Kingdom, there are quite a few that he can go on and there are now area's in the park for younger ones. He I am sure would love; It’s a Small World, Winnie the Pooh, the Dumbo ride, Cinderella’s Carousel, Country Bear Jamboree, Fantasyland Play Area, the Jungle Cruise, the Peter Pan ride, Mickey’s Toon Town has quite a few rides and you can meet Mickey and other Characters there and have photos taken. One of you can do the Tomorrowland Speedway with him and in-between if you two want to go on something (that he can’t) you can always do the baby pass. This would allow one of you to get on the attraction and the other to wait at the exit and when you get off the ride the other hands the boys off and he then gets to ride and you don’t to wait in line again. Height restrictions on rides are sometimes for the whole ride and other times it would just mean that he could not ride alone. I made a little chart for my boss when she took her 3 year old last year and I would be happy to send it to you if you would like it.

If you are going after November 10th, you could also attend Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, which is very cute and has all kids of things for kids. If you need any more information on Disney please let me know I would be happy to help.

I lived in Orlando for 5 years and as far as the weather is concerned, Nov. is actually a pretty good time to go! The threat of hurricanes and such is not a major issue for the area- it was kinda a fluke that we got 3 the one year that did major damage inland. Remember, in Orlando, you're a good hour to hour and 1/2 away from the beach, so it's rather unlikely to be getting hurricane force winds.
For the Magic Kingdom- we only took our oldest 1 time, around 4 and while she certainly enjoyed being there, there were only a few rides she was interested in at that point. I honestly don't know if this is something you want tot take on with 2 little guys- depending on when in Nov you're going, it can be very crowded because of people there for Thanksgiving. We did stay all day and she went on the few rides she wanted to over and over and over again and then we saw the fireworks, but in actuality, I think for us, we'll probably try again in a couple of years when her little sister is about 5. Good Luck!

We've taken both of our kids when they were 2 years old to Disney world & they both loved it. Make sure to let them take a nap in your hotel room (not just in the stroller at the park), so they can get a good rest in the middle of the day. It's exhausting jumping from one thing to to next, so it's nice for everyone to have some down time. There are plenty of things to see & do for a 2 year old. I would stay on property so that you can come & go easily to the park (it's worth the extra $ when you have little ones).

I have never been on the sea portion, but we were just at Disneyworld in March. My 4 and 1 year old had a blast! There are many rides for ALL ages...some favorites for both kids were Tiki Room, Pirates of the Carribean, Jungle Cruise, Haunted House, the whole kid area with the carrousel, Small World, Peter Pan, Snow White, etc. That is just a few...there are tons more that my kids went on. I used to live by Disneyland, and my first child went on rides starting at 3 months. Also, is there a reason you need to pay for your 2 1/2 year old...I believe 2 and under is free to get into the parks.
