Did Anyone Not Have a Ringbearer at Their Wedding?

Let me rephrase this: My sister-in-law is getting married in June and I want to make her something special she can use in place of a ring pillow. She isn't having a ringbearer, though, just a flower girl. Has anyone had an experience like this? Does anyone have ideas more creative than just putting the rings in the best man's pocket? By the way, my ringbearer carried the real rings and everything went great - no fake rings needed! Thanks!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for all your ideas. I think I'll suggest that she incorporate the rings into the flower girl's bouquet. Whatever happens, it will be special.

We did have a ring bearer but no flower girl. The little ring bearer (2.5 yrs old) didn't carry the actual rings (BM and MOH did). I would say incorporate the rings into what the little flower girl carries. :)

Hi-

Well, we had 5 flower girls and NO ringbearers (we ended up having the first boy in the family :) ) We just had the rings in the best man's pocket...but, my friend who got married last September did a neat thing with pictures that you could probably do with a flower girl and rings...She had pictures of her late father and grandfather suspended from pretty ribbon from her bouquet. What if you did a mini bouquet and attached the rings with ribbon for the flower girl to carry...of course you would have to have them be easily detachable for the best man... but it might be cute if you could figure a way to work it that way.

Good luck!

Hi E.,

I didn,t have a ring bearer. My husbands best man kept my ring, but I had my husbands ring in a tiny beaded pouch I wore around my wrist.it was different, I liked that I was in charge of it,and it is something that (maybe..hopefully) will be passed down in our family. or maybe it will be used when my boys lose their teeth, for the toothmouse.
Much better than a pillow,i think

I didn't have a ring bearer. My neice was a flower girl and I made a rose ring carrier. By this I mean, I made a box that looked like a rose and put it in her basket. When it was time to exchange rings, the best man went over and took it from her basket opened it, and presented it to my dh. That is creative!

Last year when my husband and I got married we just had the best man hold onto them, but I wanted to incorporate our dog by having him as the ringbearer. I wanted to have a ribbon tied around his neck and have someone walk him down the aisle and then have the bestman take the rings form him, but our dog is too hyper to do that - not to mention our church wouldn't allow it. I had another idea that since we only had a flower girl we could have the rings tied to the ribbons on her basket, but my husband didn't think it was a good idea since she was only 2. Hope those help.

Even if there is a ringbearer (we had twin boy ringbearers), the best man usually holds onto the rings or best man holds the brides in his pocket and maid of honor holds the grooms on her thumb. Safer that way so the rings don't go rolling somewhere or get lost and not there when needed in the ceremony. Usually there's fake rings on the ringbearer pillow.

I had no ring bearer, we did have 2 flower girls. The best man held the rings on a piece of ribbon and untied it when he gave them to us.

We didn't. The best man held onto them until they were needed.
