Hey Moms,
I am looking for cool parks in and around Crystal Lake. I have a three year-old and six year-old. I am totally willing to drive 20-30 minutes. We have been to Randall Oaks and Woodscreek Park many times. I would love to find nature trails to explore too! I appreciate all responses!

What can I do next?

There is also a group of trails off of Huntley Road in just as you come into West Dundee (from Randall) Will be on the left.

I second Vet's Acres. In the summer, if you walk close to the pond, there are frogs everywhere. And they have a nature center.

Very nice big park in Island Lake (down 176) as well.

For hikes try the Hollows forest preserve in Cary off Rt 14. There a few more in Cary if you google McHenry County Conservation they will list all parks and how to get to them. Welcome to the area!
