Hello! I am a second grade teacher and next week we are celebraing Catholic Schools Week with different dress-up days. Monday is character day, dressing as a book/movie/TV character. Any ideas for simple costumes that 7-8 year olds would think are fun? I am looking for ideas for myself :)

What can I do next?

My daughter did Amelia Bedelia one year for character dress up day. For Dr Seuss week dress up day she was Sally from the cat in the hat .

- Max from "Where the Wild Things Are" (think white sweat suit with ears and a tail)
- Alice (blue dress, apron, head band, knee socks and Mary Janes and carry a book and maybe a tea cup)
- Pollyanna (solid colored "youthful" dress with pig tails and ribbons, knee socks and Mary Janes)
- Pipi Longstocking... they may not know this one!
- Cat in the Hat (black sweats with ears and a tail; make a red and white striped top hat and a red bow tie)

Amelia Bedelia would be cute! Also Mouse from the Mouse Cookie books or Cat in the Hat would probably be fairly easy too.

Oh, or the teacher from Magic School Bus
