Pretty sure not, or else the troll population wouldn't be so high. Maybe someday they will become extincted!

IP address rotate frequently. Unless you pay an arm and a leg for your internet access you have a Dynamic IP address.

Most people in the real world have Dynamic. So unless you have called your internet provider and asked them to assign you an IP address it is different each and every time you are on the web.

I worked for SBC DSL Yahoo tech support for a couple of years and know this. The only people who had Static were usually businesses and they were instantly sent to 2nd tier for their connection calls. They usually have to have those connections stable and always the same so their IT techs can hotshot any connection issues.

Static stays the same and is assigned to the customer by the provider.

Dynamic changes frequently and is the safest to have while on the internet.

I think a lot of them come from FaceBook. Before MP had a link to FB, we didn't have near as many trolls.

as far as I know you can not even block someone who is harassing you here yet, so i doubt it.

No. Mamapedia does not track IP addresses.

I'm not sure why would care about this. You can make the choice not to respond to trolls. I'm not sure who said it on here - but it's true - don't feed the trolls....

was last night's post a troll or a child who felt in dire straits? I don't know. I lean towards troll. Did I respond? yes. did I get the PM? Yes. urgh.

But really? MP does not track IP addresses. They do not block accounts. They pull posts.
