Hi i am 28 weeks pregnant and since a couple of days ago i started having this burning sensation on my left outer calf. I am not sure what it can be. You cannot see anything exteriorly and it does not burn during the day just whet i kind of squeeze it or touch it. sometimes at nigh i feel like the sheets are burning that area. Any ideas on what it could be? Also i went to the hospital a couple of weeks ago due to shortnes of breath and they though it might be a blood clot but all came back negative. could it be that they did not find it? please help!

What can I do next?

I agree, that sounds like a blood clot. Even if it's not, you should get it checked out. Those were the same sorts of symptoms my uncle had a few years ago and it turned out to be a big blood clot.

It could be a blood clot -- you should be seen as soon as possible. if it's a blood clot, the symptoms would be: swelling, redness and heat in that area. It would also hurt more when you flex your foot upward. Pregnant women also get lots of charley horses, especially at night. Is it possible it's a cramp? In that case, eat lots of potassium.
