Hi Moms,

What is a good DEET free bug repellent? My 2 yr old DD loves to play outside, but the mosquitoes love her more.

Thanks!!

What can I do next?

You can find some good ones at Whole Foods or Vitamin World. Avon has Skin So Soft Bug Guard that is works great.

L.,
I don't like poisons. We use Basic H from Shaklee. It is a household product, but works great as a repellent. I haven't had a mosquito bite in over a decade. I bathe in it and I also bathed my boys in it when they were young.
In the past, I workded outside and used the Skin so Soft. But after a couple of weeks, I started getting a rash from it.
I will be happy to send you a sample of Basic H if you would like to try it.

I'm so glad that you are concerned about toxins and want a safer alternative. I don't know if you have heard of the company Melaleuca, but they sell all natural/eco-friendly products, from bug repellents to cleaning products, vitamins/supplements, bath 'n body, and cosmetics. I love using their products because it helps make my home safer and healthier, what every mom wants. If you are interested you should check out their products online and I would be glad to share more about them with you, They're AWESOME!!!
