Looking for a respectable, responsible person who can do brakes on a 2003 Santa Fe for a reasonable price. I was ripped off terribly by my dealership back in September & I wish to find someone else to help me with my car. I prefer someone in Warren or Sterling Heights, as I'd need a ride to & from work & that will be easy if I stay near to my workplace.

I do not have the # off hand but they are reasonable

Before you go to a mechanic and pay for service, you may want to double check your paperwork from the service you had done in September if it was for the same service. I work for a car company and we have a 12 month/12,000 mile (whichever comes first) warranty on any repairs done at our dealerships. The warranty is valid at any dealership (in other words, you don't have to go to the same place that ripped you off as long as you provide the proof of service to a different dealership) and covers repairs needed to the same component within 12/12.
I've had the same mechanic for 15 years. He is great, resonable and very honest. Unfortunately he is in Mt. Clemens but his name is The Mechanical Man and he is on Gratiot. I highly recommend him. We have never had a question about his work or his prices and being a female he doesn't treat me like an idiot. He talks to me like I'm an intelligent person that just doesn't know about cars and explains things to me.
