I just finished reading The Hunger Games. Loved it! Looking for some suggestions on other books I should read. I like pretty much anything except the vampire ones. What have you read lately that you liked?

What can I do next?

Did you read the whole trilogy? When I finished "The Hunger Games", I had to immediately start "Catching Fire" and then "Mockingjay"! Right now I am DEEPLY into "The Songs of Ice and Fire" by George R.R. Martin. The first book in the series is "Game of Thrones" -this is the series the HBO show is based on, but I haven't seen it yet. They are fantastic books!

I also LOVED "Sarah's Key" -although it is dark and haunting. It was a fantastic novel though, and I could not put it down.

I love Hunger Games too. Here are some suggestions:
Divergent - Veronica Roth (Dystopian YA)
Hourglass - Myra McEntire (YA, a little sci-fi)
Hush, Hush - Becca Fitzpatrick (YA, Angels)
Life as We Know it - Susan B Pfeffer (YA, end of the world, the main character reminds me of Katniss)
Across the Universe - Beth Revis (YA, Dystopian)
Unearthly - Cynthia Hand (YA, main character is part angel)
The Iron Witch - Karen Mahoney (YA, about Fae)
Delirium - Lauren Oliver (YA, Dystopian, Love is a disease and people get "cured")

That's about all I can think of for now.

I have to second Julie B. Finish the trilogy if you haven't already. And "The Songs of Ice and Fire" are amazing. I haven't read "Sarah's Key", but I'm going to put it on my list :)

My daughter also read the Hunger Games series and loved it. She read the City of Ember series and loved it. Both of us read the Missing series by Margaret Peterson Haddix and loved it. I love reading children's books so that is what I read most of the time.
