Good morning!

My mom's birthday is coming up in a few weeks, and I'd like to get her something unique and special (she's going to be 49). What are your most memorable gifts that you have given to your moms or received from your kids?

Thanks!

What can I do next?

On my 25th birthday I sent my mom a silver anniversary card along with a piece of silver jewelry. It was my birthday, but I was thinking it had been 25 yrs since we met, so it was our anniversary. I think that was her most memorable gift from me.
My most memorable gift from my daughter was probably when she drove an hour to suprise me with flowers at my job. I was so proud to show off my sweet girl to my coworkers. Another thing that she does that I love is she buys me the best quality of things that I skimp on for myself. Last year she bought me the best flat iron for my hair. I dont spend like that for myself, so its so nice to have a really good one. I use it almost everyday and think of her everytime.

you don't say how old your mom is but one of the things that we got my mom that she loved was a journal in which I wrote and attached pictures of some of my favorite memories connected to my mom. things like the first time I remember us going out to dinner just me and her, a favorite cake she made just for me. a trip we took, a punishment she gave me that taught me something, just a lot of memories of things about us. we gave my grandma the same kind of thing only had all of her kids write in it letters to her, memories etc. she will love it

Oh! I just wrote about the most memorable gifts from one of my daughters - it was wearable: http://www.mamapedia.com/questions/384044203237376001#res...

Ten years later I still wear them and think loving thoughts towards her each time ;-)

The most memorable gift for my mom was expensive - a deep massage mat which she used daily for many many years (she has a bad back) until she could no longer get up and down from it (she is in her mid-80s now). It is still in excellent condition, and last month she gave it to me - and I have been using it daily!

One of the most memorable gifts to me from another of my daughters was a night out on the town. She took me "clubbing." It was... umm.. interesting! I really did have fun! We danced and danced and interacted with another group of ladies who also were out celebrating a birthday, and one of them said HER daughter had done the same thing for her the week before - taken her out dancing.

For my Mom's bday this year I had a picture of my daughter and I transferred onto a canvas. It came out beautiful and she absolutely loved it and is hanging on her wall at her home. I used canvasondemand.com which I have used several times and have never been disappointed!

My mom and I enjoyed time together, so for a gift, I would take her to see a show, or out for a special lunch or dinner.
