We are going to the beach in about a week. It's time I bit the bullet and get a bikini wax. I am a bikini wax virgin so I am SCARED!!! So, I need a referral for a GREAT place to get it done. I am in North Richland Hills and willing to go to Grapevine, Colleyville, Southlake, Keller, HEB area. Any suggestions?

L. - you have to call Holly at Sedona Massage Company. I used to wax all of the time, and then she introduced me to sugaring, and I wish I would have known about it years ago. Not only is it a bit less painful and gentler to the skin, it also helps to decrease the amount of hair that grows back, so each time I go, I have a lot less than before. She is very sweet and trustworthy too...and it is very clean!!!! Some of the waxing places double dip into the wax, but not with sugaring. Sedona is located just south of 1709 on Davis. Her number is ###-###-####.

Have a fun trip!!!!!

I am a bikini wax virgin too and i'm getting mine tomorrow! I'm actually going to my salon in North Arlington, not too sure about anything up there. I actually have a Suburban Mom mag i'll through to see if there are any salons that do bikini wax.
I'll update you after i go tomorrow!!

I hate to say this, but you really should have done it last week. Waxing strips off the top layer of skin and can leave irritation for anywhere from a few hours to a few days. I would suggest you try something like Nair for sensitive areas this time.

If you still want to do it, make sure you use a lot of post wax ointment and ice to keep the bumps down. I have used Ulta and Seventeen. Both are fairly equivalent.

Good luck!
Jodi

I have been to Ulta and they do a good job! It might be a little less expensive and they have a nice area in the back salon area where they do it.
