Hi I am making salt dough ornaments to send to family out of state. What would be the best way to mail them, where they would be preserved and in one piece? Do you think buble wrap is enough?
Thanks for your time.

What can I do next?

Yeah I think it would be fine. Wrap each one in bubble wrap, then put crinkled wrapping (brown paper, but gift wrap works too!) paper or newspaper in the larger box with the bubble wrapped ornaments inside. Basically you dont want it to be right by the sides of the box that might (will) get hit, and you dont want things rolling around inside the box, so away from the sides and with padding that will cushion the blows, without allowing it to fall and roll around inside the box.

At michaels they have little boxes. They remind me of the boxes you get rings and necklases in. They have many sizes, from tiny to big, square to rectangle and many colors. I'm sure you could find sizes to fit the ornaments. you could put a little bubble wrap in each box, though tissue paper would probably be fine. They would be individually wrapped then, which could be nice.

What a nice idea!

I work at PostNet - we would wrap each one carefully in bubble wrap and tape it and then wrap all of the bubble wrapped items in bubble wrap together to keep them from individually floating in the sea of recycled styrofoam peanuts in the box. You could also get those air filled pillows and line the box with that before placing the individually wrapped ornaments in the peanuts. You can't get much more secure than that except to write FRAGILE all over the outside and say a prayer that your shipper doesn't play soccer or volleyball with the packages. Good luck and ship early to ensure on-time arrival!

I sent a whole bunch of delicate ceramic pieces to my daughters and really wrapped them in bubble wrap and they were fine. Line the box with bubble wrap for added protection and they should be fine.

The little box idea is a great one. I would use tissue paper in each individual box and bubble wrap on the box itself. Good Luck.

it should definetly be enough. I have salt dough ornaments that are fifteen years old that taking a beating very well.
