Best Appliance EVER?

So I figured I'd start a spin-off question. The question about convection ovens got me thinking...

What's your very favorite appliance in your home? Why? What makes it better than others?

Mine is my Keurig. I want some decaf in the evening, so I just pop the little cup in and push a button. Coffee's done in less than one minute. Friggen AWESOME!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

LOL! When I posted this I guess I wasn't specific. I was thinking of "specialty" appliances. You know...like the Keurig coffeemaker or the NuWave oven....or the Shark Steam Mop. Stuff we don't want to go a week without. :-)

Anyone in love with a super duper appliance?

A working dishwasher.

Haven't had one for 2 years.

A broken washer or dyer one can go to the laundrymat. But there isn't a dishomat!!! Fridge dies and coolers or college fridges are dirt cheap. But man oh man oh man... do I miss my dishwasher.

My husband - he chops anything beautifully, shreds mounds of cheese with nary a hesitation, stirs pots effortlessly, boils water so I can do other things, cleans up while I cook so we have fewer dishes at the end, opens beer/wine to aid cooking (for us not the food), keeps me company and referees our toddler while I cook, sets the table, puts out any needed condiments...

LOL...I second Jo's answer also. Hey, nothing wrong with a favored appliance in each room. :)

Vibrator?

:)

Gads I don't have a serious answer. There are four appliances I couldn't live without. I guess the coffee maker would top the list but barely.

Automatic laundry machines. I can't even imagine having to scrub my clothes & then line dry them. I really can't imagine how the pioneers survived brutal Midwestern winters.

The REFRIGERATOR!!! Lol. For about 3 months when I was a teenager, I had to live in a cabin with no running water or electricity. We used to go to my Grandma's house for showers, and we had gas-powered tabletop cooking ranges, but the no fridge KILLED us! Lol. No milk, no jelly, no eggs, no cheese, etc. etc. etc.

Wow, Jo, that is quite the vibrator to be considered an appliance. LOL

I don't have a favorite appliance. I think my favorite is the one I don't have to use. LOL Ahh if only I were rich and could afford someone else to use my appliances for me. :)

Alas, I will never have an appliance that matches my late mother's amazing Kirby vacuum cleaner, now in appliance heaven.

That sucker (and really, it WAS a super-sucker of all dirt) not only worked brilliantly, it lasted for more than THIRTY years. It was heavy compared to today's vacuums, sure, and had the old-fashioned type of bag you had to change. But heaven knows, that Kirby would suck a carpet clean and keep on going. It never wore out. Wow, your question really sent me down memory lane....

My Dyson vaccum and low-noise dishwasher.

The Dyson is bar-none the best vacuum I've ever owned. You empty the canister after each use and it's mind-bending the dirt and debris that it picks up.

The low-noise dishwasher is sooooo quiet compared to what we had before. We used to have to turn our TV up at night because the old behemoth was loud! I can barely hear the new one now.

I could never survive cleanly without the normal appliances - fridge, dishwasher, washer. But my new house has a trash compactor - it is the "luxury" appliance I never knew I always wanted. Loving that thing.
