Bengston's Pumpkin Farm

We are going to the pumpkin farm today but it seems really pricey. I saw a $1 off coupon which isn't much...is it worth the cost of admission to get into this one? Are there any other coupons which offer a bigger discount?

What can I do next?

I personaly don't think it's worth it. We are going to this one today http://www.thecenterpalos.org/farm/c-farm-events.htm
I'm not sure if there is an admission but it looks like they have a lot of stuff to do too!

Like other posts, we haven't gone as the admission is a joke and once you get in, they charge you for everything else. Quite honestly I am not sure how they continue to pull people in.

Konow's is great. Also, check out this site for more...www.pumpkinpatchesandmore.org

I know you probably have already gone to Bengston's and it is probably one of those places that you will, at least, go once in your life...so I hope you had a good time. It's a bit pricey.

I noticed that you are close to my area. Just to let you know..Manhattan, IL (off of Rt. 52 has a harvest fest going on this weekend at the Round Barn. The round barn used to be a favorite place for me to take my kids at that age but they closed down for years, due to a death in the family and the property is now owed by the Park District. This will be the second event, (I think) this Fall, that has been hosted at the Round Barn, since it closed years ago. Just thought you might enjoy the information. It's a lovely area with lots of crisp, Autumn foliage and country charm and next door to Joliet, depending on where you live, in the city. I plan on stopping by this week-end too. Hope you have fun!

We went to Bengston's a couple years ago and I thought it was greatly overpriced and not as much for little kids to do as I would have liked. We personally won't be going back. Unfortunately, I don't have any other suggestions. :(

My husband and I went before we had our daughter. It is expensive and he won't go back. The pig races are the highlight. May be worth it to check it out once to decide for yourself. There is also another farm on Cedar and 167th/Division (16849 S Cedar Rd). I think it is slightly less expensive, though I have not personally been there. A coupon I have says they have a strawbale playground, petting zooo, hayrides, cornfield bouncer, corn pit, tryke track, small corn maze for kids, cow train express and jumping pillow. 2 and younger are fress 3 and up ar $7. www.konowscornmaze.com
