Babies Personalities and Astrology

OK this question is on behalf of my sister who is planning her second little cherub.
My little sister is planning her second child and she is very much into star signs but just for fun (you know Aries, Scorpio, Taurus etc), she loves to compare a people's star sign with their personalities to see if there's a grain of truth to it.
Anyways her little baby is Virgo and there are plenty of star signs that are compatible with it and some not; so she would like for her next baby to be of a compatible star sign (just for fun we know it's hard to really plan a baby for a especific date and it may take months or even years to conceive)
so her question is do you mammas pay attention at all to star sign when planning your babies so they get along with each other? or it's complete mumbo jumbo??? have you noticed your babies personalities actually match with their star sign??
Sorry if this question is too out there I checked past questions and found nothing on the subject, I would thought it would be interesting to see what everyone else thought,
Thank you mommas again for your advice!

I am pregnant with my second, she will most likely be a Libra. My son is a Gemini and most definitely acts like one!! I never thought to look to see if their signs are compatible, so I just did,and they are! I like to believe in that stuff, I'm a Gemini and my husband is an Aquarius which are very compatible and that has so far proven to be true :) Now I'm hoping my daughter does end up being a Libra, since they are most compatible with Gemini's and Aquarius, we should all be one big happy family :)

I have never been "that" into astrology though I have looked at it from time to time for fun and when things do seem to "match up", I do get a kick out of it. There was a time where my daily horoscope had me rethinking last fall because I swear every day it seemed right on target and I mean for detailed things. It was a bit weird considering I've never looked at astrology for anything more than "fun".

I do have to say though, my oldest is a Libra, and his personality matches what I have read. Laid back, caring, etc. My next two are Leos and boy do they match their signs!! BOTH are constantly trying to be the center of attention...the one does it from a class clown type of approach while the youngest is almost more demanding of it. I am a bit freaked right now because my cycle threw me a curveball and changed one month and I got pregnant. Our 4th is due within 10 days of my youngest which means THREE Leos. Our house is going to be quite interesting if this one follows his sign...all three vying to be center of attention? Oh boy...

Having said all that, according to astrology, my husband and I are one of the worst matches you can have. That is via both astrology and the Chinese calendar. (We are the animal years who are supposed to avoid each other. LOL!) I find that funny because of everyone we know, my husband and I still have the best relationship after 15 years. We are still each others best friends, are physical with each other all the time whether it's hugging, holding hands, or whatever. As far as signs though, my husband and I are very much "our signs" too! Maybe there is something to this astrology stuff... ;)

I have two aquarius daughters, and I am a very typical Aries. I bought a book about baby astrology when I was pregnant with my first. It said that an Aries mother would be frustrated with the flighty nature of an aquarius child. I thought to myself at the time- YES, that would be frustrating, to have an indecisive and flighty child, since I am so incredibly impatient and bull-headed! However, contrarily, and maybe because I read the book and knew to be prepared for it, I embrace my daughters' natural flightiness!! I find it quite charming & whimsical and I wouldn't change a thing about them.

I did not PLAN to have my daughters be the same astrological sign. My first was born 2/2/2004 and my second was born 2/16/2007. It just happened that way. However, if I ever have any more, I would love to have them in February as well, because I LOVE my aquarius babies. :)

Although Astrology is against my religion I find it very fascinating. I also compare personality traits and can often guess what sign someone is.
I am a full on Virgo, so to hang around me it's like being around a puppy.

PS My fav. ppl were born in the middle of March :) True Pisces.

It is hard to plan, you can only use the dates as a target. Kids can be born premature or overdue. It is fun to read horoscopes, sometimes they are helpful at understanding personality.

While we did not plan it exactly, I knew I did not want a child of a few certain signs because of my difficulties in relationships with adults of those signs. And when we had a to choose a c-section date I consulted my friends mom who did all of our charts and gave me a few dates that would work best with our family dynamic. And I wanted her to be born on the last day of sagittarius rather than later. So we have three fire signs (I'm Leo, he's Aries, she is sag), and one little air (aquarius) that keeps the fires stoked! :)

I definately didn't take signs into consideration when I had my 3 little ones. However, I have a taurus, aries, and virgo and my husband and I are both libras. My kids all definately fit into the mold of thier signs. My aries and virgo I'm just now starting to see thier personalities fit thier signs but my taurus has been a taurus since the day she was born. lol My husband and I have different personality traits of the libra. It works out well for us though.
I think it is a very cute idea to try to have babies with compatible signs. Very interesting idea! Good Luck!

I know a few people who are really into that and would say yes. I'm a Taurus and my sister is a Sagittarius, I'm pretty true to my sign sometimes, and my sister is very true to hers, but compatibility wise for us doesn't matter at all. My brother is also a Taurus and he in no way is close to those personality traits.

Sometimes, for fun, I will read the little weekly horoscopes. Any of them could work for anyone really, depending on your life situation and the perspective you bring while viewing it. So, I'm going to say, no, it doesn't really matter. Also, there are so many factors of the signs, it's always changing compatibility wise as their are lots of pros and cons for each.

I didn't plan for it, but my son is a typical Pisces...full of strong emotions, sentimental and a lover, not a fighter. (Not to mention a fish in the water!)

No, I never paid attention to the star signs and did not plan the births around those signs. I don't know if my 4 children match personalities with their star signs. Maybe I'll check into that sometime.

My Mom was really into Astrology and numerology when I was growing-up but it wasn't something that dictated how her day would go. I think she was just interested in new wave ways to explain life.

Anyhow, I certainly didn't use an astrological chart to plan when my kids were born. It was more of, "Wow, this worked!".....in one case quicker than others.

My son is a Gemini. His 4th birthday is this friday, June 11. My birthday is the following day, June 12. We couldn't be more different. I also have a co-worker who shares my birthday, and we are POLAR OPPOSITES!

Our daughter is an Aries, 21 months younger than her brother. And, though I could read into the definition of an Aries, it's very vague, and we're really just seeing into her personality now that she's turned two recently.

My kids are best friends. They couldn't be closer even with minor spats here and there, they're really compatible.
