Is It in the Signs?

Ok so I am asking a lot of questions but I finally found somewhere I can go to ask questions that I sometimes feel embarrassed to ask. Anyway my question is can you have a child that is of a specific astrology sign and not have the same outcome raising that child as someone who has compatible signs if you believe in that type of thing? Stupid question but the things I see with some of these kids teens etc. Almost every parent I see with this problem can't be that bad.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Sooo guessing some things are better left unsaid. Not a bored kid, I didn't say she was my youngest, it's just that I'm trying really hard with her. I've seen far worse parenting. Heck I'm just reaching out. I wasn't in anyway ready to give up if a true believer in astrology said yes the signs matter.oh by the way there are no perfect parents or life or this forum probably wouldn't exist. But like I said I'm trying to be better than what I had.

No.
Every child is different/unique regardless of what ever time of the year they were born (determines astrological sign).
Most people ask an average of about 2 to 3 questions a day here.
More than that makes people wonder if you're some bored kid out on summer vacation with inadequate parental supervision.
Real Mom's are usually too busy with their kids to spend mega time on the computer asking question after question.

Additional:
To meet/make adult friends - get a hobby, take a class, join a club/league (go bowling) - something you enjoy and enjoy discussing with other people.

I don't think you should parent based on astrology. Have fun with astrology, but don't take it seriously.

What I find interesting is that you started your profile in May of this year and posted about your 18 month old son who apparently no longer exists, now your youngest is a 3 year old girl.

I, and I speak for no one, find your stupid questions annoying.

"Almost every parent I see with this problem" Do you even have kids or friends that have children? I have raised children for the past 27 years and never have any of my friends discussed the subtle nuances of astrological signs and child rearing.

Astrology is for fun. Personalities are personalities. If your child is acting out, there is a REASON. You need to do the work to figure that out - even if the reason is that you're spoiling your child because they're the only girl and you've wanted a girl forever.

Whether they like to admit it or not, some parents DO contribute to the behavior of their child. Step back and see if you are (which from some of your questions, you probably are without realizing it - from a place of love, but still, it's not healthy).

Then change directions. Love doesn't mean fawning all over a person, it means being there for them. It's not too late. Just step back, relax, dig in, and be her MOM.

Astrology is a crock.
If your kid is acting out, it could be that you need to change your parenting methods, it could be that s/he has an emotional disorder, it could be that s/he just has a combative personality, it could be that there is a metabolic disorder that needs to be addressed.
None of that is determined by his/her birthday.

Please don't base any child-rearing on astrology. Your child is more precious and you are more intelligent than that. If you look at just about any
astrological sign you can find character traits that match anyone. Use your perceptive skills to see what your children are like - all kids are different. Then go with that.

It's a nice thought that kids and people are the signs they say. Some of it is possibly true. So stop trying to read astrological predictions and believe that they must be x,y,z because of their sign. However, there is much more to the genetic makeup of an individual that makes them all unique and no two are exactly alike. Even identical twins are a bit different in makeup.

I see you must have taken a break from your kids in order to write this question.

Do find a good hobby or something to fill your time up after you clean up your home and have dinner ready in the evening.

Please look for some parenting classes in your area, you will learn lots of great information that isn't based on...well...there's no way to say it that isn't offensive to those that believe in that stuff.

even if you're an avid astrology fan (i'm a casual one) you just can't go here. just because you plan (and get) a virgo child, there's just no way to plan for all the planetary variables.
i dug in and did my own charts, both tropical and sidereal (almost all modern astrology is tropical and therefore somewhat inaccurate), several years ago. i found the sidereal chart far more accurate and interesting, but it's not like it gave me an illuminated road map for my life. and i'm a very different person from other geminis born near or even on my date. there's a LOT more that goes into true astrology than those daily horoscopes you see in the paper.
i'm about as woo-woo as you can get without tipping over into the crazy farm, and i recommend very highly that you don't go down this road.

What you believe about astrology is the only answer to that question you will accept. I mean... I don't believe in it. Therefore, it has no bearing. There are people who believe in astrology (and it sounds like maybe you do)... they probably will answer with that worldview...

Truth is truth--no matter what a person believes. So to ask this question seems rather pointless to me.

Every child is an individual with his/her own personality. I doubt a child's personality has much to do with astrology signs. Parenting techniques that work for one child may not work for another child with a different personality.

you want to know if your child that is, say a Leo, that is being raised by a Scorpion, will be compatible?

Alisha, astrology is a cute, fun hobby. It is not science. It is not religion. And there is no truth to it.

Parenting, on the other hand, is serious business. There are a lot of parenting philosophies that work well, and there is no parenting philosophy that works perfectly. But you can't base your parenting practice on astrology. As in, can not. It's irresponsible. You have a huge job ahead of you, and you need to take it seriously.

A friend of mine, who puts a lot of stock in astrology planned her family in such a way that her kids would be born under signs compatable to her own. I am not fussed one way or another.
