Harvest Time in Twin Lakes Wi. Its a fun ride and right on the border so its not that far. We go there every year. You can also pick pumpkins, pet goats, play in hay,my kids love to ride in the back of the van in the back with the it open, they have freshly homemade donuts...YUMMY! Its a blast and we have been going there for generations.

I second Royal Oaks farm Orchard. Apple picking, apple cider donuts, a great bake shop. For the kids, there is a train ride, petting zoo, carousel and alot of playground areas too. A great way to spend the day, we just went and had so much fun!

There's a great website that lists tons of pick your item farms in Illinois.

We went to Royal Oak Farms in Harvard, IL and I would highly suggest not going there. So, we are going to try All Seasons farm pretty soon, hoping to like them more.

I did a search for you and found great reviews for Edwards Apple Orchard in Poplar Grove, IL.

It may be worth the drive to enjoy a beautiful fall day
with the family.

The reviews sounded so great I will have to make a family day of it soon.

Let me know how you enjoyed it!

Take care,
F.

Lynn -

For the past few years - my boys and I have gone to Royal Oaks Farm in Harvard Illinois. It's a nice drive and they have a beautiful farm. Besides apple picking - they have a few other types of fall fruits available as well as other things for the kids to do such as a mini-petting zoo, bakery; restaurant; hay rides; play area for the kids.

Enjoy the day!

It sounds like there are some great places. I'm jumping on the Kuipers apple wagon. We went there the 2nd weekend of September, and the apples were great. Be weary, b/c some orchards "run out" of apples on the trees due to all the visitors and schools that come to pick.

We have not been before, but are also thinking about it this fall. Our cousin just visited Apple Holler in Wisconsin and said they had a great time.
