Anybody Been to See a Psychic Medium??

Just wondering what your experience was when you seen a psychic. I lost my husband in June of 2011 to a car accident and he was 28 years old and i was 21 with a 2 1/2 year old daughter and 6 months pregnant with our 2nd daughter. So I took it really hard and still having a hard time with it. But i've had so much things happen to let me know that he is still watching over us and still with us. He even showed up in a picture behind my daughter and my daughter says she see's him but she has only said that 4 times since he's passed and how she says it makes me really think she does see him. We was sitting in the living room which is open up to the kitchen and the lights turned off besides a little lamp and she looks up and goes daddys in the kitchen (she was 2 when she said this) so of coarse i believe she can see him. Now I decided to go see a psychic to see what they could tell me. I've never been to one before this. So she asks why im here and i said i lost a loved one back in June and want to see if you can connect with him. She closes her eyes and then she asked me his first name and then his last name (which i would of loved to not of told her and she tell me his name) But she goes and starts to tell me she said hes frustrated with me (the psychic) she said he acts like its not my business (the psychic) Then she goes you have a lot of dreams about him with him in it and i said yes and she said he wants to know why your not listening to him. (which as soon as he passed before his funeral i had a dream where he showed up and i asked him what he was doing here because he had died and he gave me that smile like always and laughed and said im not dead and i said yes you are and i had to get out the obituary and show him and then i woke up) Then she goes he's talking with his hands a lot. (which he did. He would be driving down the road and would be on the phone and would drive with his knees so he could use his hands to talk with while on the phone so I would always have to get onto him) When she told me that I was like wow. Then she goes when you walk through a front door there is a fire place to your right with like seating around it like conversational seating and she goes this is the room he's in the most. (That was amazing that she told me that because that described my living room exactly. Fire place to the right and a couch beside it and then another couch in front of it.) She then tells me that your kids see him. and she goes your little girl draws pictures of daddy and of coarse she does do that. So i found it pretty neat since she didnt know anything about me and all i told her was his name. Sorry it was so long but i wonder if anybody else went to a psychic and had a good experience like I did?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I see this is going in a total opposite direction then i asked. I didnt ask for people to tell me what to do. I went 1 time just to see and i dont plan on going back. She did not say my husband was frustrated with me he was frustrated with her. Also if anybody knew my husband he ALWAYS was talking with his hands i mean always. Everybody has there own belief and i do believe some people are gifted with that extra sense that most of us can't use. I also do believe my daughter does see him from time to time since i have seen him walking down my hallway to the girls room. Also she didnt take my call when i made the apt. i called that morning and asked if they had an opening for that evening and the lady told me she did and i asked exactly what she did and the lady told me and all i gave her was my name and number. When i got there the only thing i told her was my husbands name and thats it.

Really How much can you find out with just my first name and phone number and thats all I said. Im going to guess Nothing! And quit worrying about how I spend money. I went once and that was it and Quit bringing up my husband!

I have talked to one. She's pretty good when we talk on the phone, but not so great by e-mail. It seems that it's hard for her to answer specific questions, but she frequently has a ton of information for me. It's always detailed stuff that she would have to be psychic to know, as she lives in a different state. Even if she lived next door to me, she would have to be psychic to know what she says.

I'm mixed about talking to one. I think it can be fun as long as you don't rely on it. It sounds like you have good, balanced feelings about it.

I hate to be a downer but everything she told you is common for a lot of people. More so if you look at it without wanting to hear from your husband again you will find there is a lot of misinformation given as well.

You also need to consider how much you told her when you were setting up the appointment. You may not have thought much but she was taking notes like a crazy woman to figure out what to tell you. In other words I think you are being taken and you need to save that money for your family who is still there.

I know a fair few people who have lost as much money as a gambler to these people. Stay away, they could care less about your life they want your money.

Okay, honestly? I know that my grandfather has always been with me. There is no way I could have done the crazy things I did as a child and lived, ya know? Sure people are still around us but we don't need someone taking our money to feel that, to hear them! My god open your heart and save some money. Heck right now my grandma is telling me to be nice! I don't think she would like some of the things I say. Then again she was the one calling women sluts out the car window in Sicilian because she didn't like how they dressed....Who knows how she would personally respond but I know she wants me to be nice.

Stop seeing this medium, she is after your money! Don't make my grandma come talk to you, my grandpa was much nicer. :)

Everyone is given that extra sense, use yours! Does your husband strike you as the kind who would converse through strangers?

Oh and don't you think the receptionist can take note too? PM me your name and number, I will surprise you with what I can find out about you in five minutes or less.

I just want to say that anyone who would ask me why I'm not listening to my dead husband is a charleton in my book. Please don't go to her again. Most people talk with their hands. Many children think they see someone they want to see - my child thought he heard his dead dog. If she would have "missed" your living room set up (very typical), you would have forgiven her that, you so much want to believe her.

Please move on. If your husband is still with you somehow in spirit, that is lovely. But what he would want you to do is move on and live your life. Not go see someone who says he is frustrated with you. I really mean this.

I'm sorry for your loss.

But this is not a healthy way to move on with your life. It might give you some temporary comfort, but you have to pay. That doesn't seem like what your husband would want, does it?

I know there are many beliefs in the world - but does your path in life really include mediums and psychics? Is that a path you want to be on?

Feeling sorrow for your loss and TRULY wanting you and your daughter to heal, I will give you my best advice.

Only God can heal your sorrows and give you a reason to live. Psychics work with those (demons) who would deter you from that...but they lie. They lie to make you think that what they do is great, that they have the answers, that they can make you happy...the devil lies.

God understands your sorrow and will always be there for you. I hope you have someone you trust in your life that can guide you towards Him, and I know that He will give you that person if you only let Him.

I am not discrediting your experience, either...it's just that the devil wants to win, and he's willing to lie to do it. Please don't let him win in your life. Look for God.

My MIL goes to one fairly regularly (about every 3 or 4 months) since her husband passed away in June 2008. She knew some weird things (like that we'd just had a baby - this psychic is in NY and we live in CO so no way she would have known that through paper or anything) but as the time has gone on I find the things my MIL reports are much less personal. The last few times it's been a rehash of the other times (your mom is sorry she didn't love you more, etc) but the psychic did tell her that her husband (my late FIL) wants her to move on and do something with her life (she literally sits at home all day and does FB and Farmville) so who knows. I think if it makes you feel better then that is all that matters. I'm sorry for your loss. :-(

For fun My friend and I went to a palm reader when we were out one night ( i was 19 or 20). She tells me I will be very much in love marry soon and have several children early in life ( I am like "NO WAY am I"- I was dating someone at the time that I was almost completely over, but we WERE dating for about 3 years at that time, i thought she was referring to him). She went on and said that i already know the man I'd marry (which made me worry more... NO WAY would I marry my boyfriend!). Then she said I'd known him for about 5 years (In my mind again I'm thinking... "I didn't know him five years ago, this is just silly now, she doesn't know what she is talking about, but I will play along").

I kept those thoughts away from her, I just continued to hear what she had to say, but answered any questions she had... and when we were done my friend and I went on our way and laughed at the extreme reading I got after. I mean, she was talking about all this happening soon and I was on my way to breaking up with my long-time boyfriend.

well, I broke up with him a few months later, and the next month I start dating a good friend of mine I've known since we were 15 (BTW, this reading TOTALLY was not even a thought of mine until a couple years later), got engaged on the same day we started dating - we were hit HARD by the love bug, I tell ya (and still are!!!). We had four kids before I turned 28.

That's my experience. It was the only time I went to see anyone like that. I don't have any interest in doing that again, I don't think. I don't wanna spoil my good story about it.

I haven't gone for a reading , personally. I have many people in my life who are gifted as well as sensitive in engaging with the spirit world. It sounds like she gave you a lot of information, and you were able to back it up with your own experiences. Sometimes we need that clarification, and I am glad she was able to give you that. I know that my family members and friends who have passed on are always around me. Giving me signs that they are there. It's comforting, and reassuring to me.

I have however had people give me information from time to time on a loved one who has passed over. One actually had connected to one of my friends who had passed on recently. She was able to give me so much information, it was extremely helpful to me. Stuff that she , a total stranger would have no clue about. It was such a gift.

Another person in my life had told me that my son has had visits from his great- grandparents who died before he was born. I knew this already, as I would go into his room and he would be sitting up in his crib laughing and looking up. I feel the presence of my grandpa all the time in my home. I know that he is watching over my family.

Validation is such a wonderful thing. It brings comfort and peace. I am glad you have that. Hold onto it.

I am so sorry for your loss, I know it truly takes time to process such a profound loss like that. I don't have experience with psychics, never been to one, sorry. I wanted to just share with you something that helped my mom a lot after my sister died three years ago. It's called Griefshare, you can just look it up at griefshare.com. It is a group led by people who have all lost someone very close and it is very laid back. You might want to check it out, you can share or not, go or not and my mom got so much great info on what it's like to grieve. She was so happy to know she was normal! It helped me too bc she would share things she learned. Anyway, I just wanted to pass that along. Hang in there! Oh and p.s. if you find a great church that understands the prophetic, which is simply God talking to you through a person, that can be very helpful as well. Wish you the best and p.m. if you want more info about that! Take care!!

Sorry for your loss...

I do happen to be open to people with psychic abilities...I'm sure there are some quacks out there but I do believe that we all carry our soul to the next life and I believe in life after death. It makes sense to me that if there is life after death (which many religions believe), that we can still connect with them. Some people are more open than others to making this connection. Trust your gut instinct. I don't think she's trying to prey on you, but only you can be the judge. I haven't had direct experience with this, but I've watched a number of programs on TV with psychics that seem very legitimate

My mother is one, she can sometimes help people even from a distance, but obviously it is better to be there with your energies in person. I suggest that you find someone who comes highly reccomended and if you 'feel wrong' then this is the wrong one for you. Some are in it for the money and most are in it to help people, you can typically figure out who is who right away.
