I love the people at 12house.com. I've had great experience with them. There are a few that are my favorites, Elizabeth being one of them. There was one or two that I felt I did not connect with but I knew it right away so I didn't waste much money or time on them. I suggest reading over their profiles and feedback, it may give you an idea who to contact. Their website is fun also.

No offense intended, but if psychics were really nothing more than scam artists with an entertainment value, wouldn't they be able to foresee how to become wealthy enough to offer their services for free?

M.,

This was the best answer that I found, it came from www.gotquestions.org. I have a friend once deceived by this and it broke my heart to see her hopes brought up by a "christian" psychic only to have her "predictions" of a "very good year" turn out to be false. Save your money. Email me back if you want a real friend to lift your spirit!

The Bible strongly condemns the practice of spiritism, mediums, occult, psychics, etc. (Leviticus 20:27; Deuteronomy 18:10-13). Horoscopes, tarot cards, astrology, fortune tellers, palm readings, séances, etc., fall into this category as well. These practices are based on the concept that there are gods, spirits, or deceased loved ones that can give you advise and guidance. These “gods” or “spirits” are demons (2 Corinthians 11:14-15). The Bible gives us no reason to believe that deceased loved ones can, or would even want to contact us. If they were believers, they are in heaven, enjoying the most wonderful place imaginable – in fellowship with a loving God. If they were not believers, they are in hell, suffering the un-ending torment for rejecting God’s love and rebelling against Him.

So, if our loved ones cannot contact us, how do mediums, spiritists, psychics, etc. get such accurate information? There have been many “exposes” on psychics. It has been exposed how a psychic can gain immense amounts of information on a person through ordinary means. Sometimes by just using a telephone number through caller ID and then an internet search, a psychic can get names, addresses, dates of birth, dates of marriage, family members, etc. However, it is undeniable that psychics sometimes know things that should be impossible for them to know. Where do they get this information? The answer is - Satan and his demons. 2 Corinthians 11:14-15 tells us, “And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.” Acts 16:16-18 describes a fortune teller who was able to predict the future until the Apostle Paul rebuked a demon out of her.

Satan pretends to be kind and helpful. He tries to appear as something good. Satan and his demons will give a psychic information about a person, in order to get that person hooked into spiritism – something that God forbids. It appears innocent at first, but soon a person finds himself addicted to psychics – allowing Satan to control and destroy their life. 1 Peter 5:8 proclaims, “Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour." In most cases, the psychics themselves are likely deceived, not knowing the true source of the information they receive. Whatever the case, and wherever the source of the information – nothing connected to spiritism, witchcraft, astrology, etc. is God’s intention for us as a means to discover information. How does God want us to discern His will for our life? Simple: (1) Study the Bible (2 Timothy 3:16-17), (2) Pray for wisdom (James 1:5).

I'm going to go ahead and answer your question, and NOT insult you. Your prefernce to see a psychic is yours and no one elses. Did you ask "should I see a psychic," or "can you tell me of a good one?" That is what I HATE about this site!!!!

ANYWAY, there is a place in Milford called Enchanted Moments, and you can call them and talk to them about it. They have a website, www.enchantedmoments.org. There are several that you could talk to. I met with a lday named Diane last year, and she was pretty right about a lot of things, but most importantly she was sooo therapeutic. I think she was $30/half an hour, but she went over and talked with me for a whole hour. It was a party though so that could be the reason for the cheaper rate. Good luck in finding a good one, and ignore the haters that have probably never been to one, or at least not to a good one!

When I lived in the Detroit area I attended a Spiritualist Church. A part of service is 'messages'. The minister or other congregates recieve information from "spirit" and relay the messages to the specific person. It can be very enlightening and inspirational. The one I went to had medium (psychic) classes throughout the year.

I have not been to one outside of Detroit but I noticed that there are at least two in the Indianapolis area.

One of them has an all message service on Tuesay nights. http://www.psychicsciencechurch.org/
The congregation and ministerial staff provide guidance and messages as "told to them by his/her guide". A 'love donation' is all that is requested. You don't have to be a 'believer' or of any particular religion. You could also call the church and ask for a recommendation for a reputable medium (psychic).

The other church I found is:
http://www.thespiritualistchurchofindianapolis.com/index....

This is NOT a religious cult.

Best wishes.

Have you considered learning a form of divination for yourself? There are TONS of resources out there for many different forms. I personally like working with numerology, the Tarot, and runes.

That way all you have to spend is the materials and books, and you can have fun learning, and after you really get experienced in it maybe you can make a bit of money for yourself.

There are very few TRUE PHYCHICS. Most learn enough about you to tell you just what you want to hear and that is just from watching your body movements and simple info. They are great deceivers. If you believe them regardless of good or bad news it will happen. Believing equals recieving. Don't waist your time or your money. I see things in dreams and usually before they happen , if it is someone I know I try to warn them but it sometimes doesn't work, they simply don't believe me until it happens and then they are sorry they didn't listen.
A friend of mine was out with friends and I was at home sleeping I woke up and called his house, his Mom said he was out and I told her about the dream, 5 hours later she called me and said he had been in a accident and no one could figure out how he got out of the car as it had crashed into a brick wall at a high speed and none of the doors would open on the car but he was some how out side of the car on the pavement with only a few scratches and road rash. All of the windows were rolled up and none broke except what looked like a spider web on the drivers side of the windshield as if someones head hit it.A few days later Ralph took me to see the car, I just stood there and cryed it was exactly as I saw in the dream. This happened over 25 years ago and still today I have these dreams, they are scarey to me.
Recently I dreamed a guy I knew was in the hospital and was going to die. He was only 29.I told Charlie about the dream , less than 4 months later he died from some rare form of cancer that started out as just a mole that kept getting bigger.
Please don't waste your money true psychics don't steal your money they tell you the truth and hope you change things so you are not hurt.I am Native American and we do not believe in taking money for these kind of services. But not every one has these powers. Many blessings to you.

I have never encountered a psychic that is accurate and trustworthy, let alone affordable. Why would you waste your money to have someone tell you your future when the future is constantly shifting due to the choices you make? I've consulted physics several times over my life and they've never helped me or told me anything that changed my life.

Stop wasting money and worry about making your own future. If you have a lot of difficulty making choices and discerning patterns in your life, maybe you should consider talking to a councilor who can help you make sense of your life and learn how to make positive choices for yourself. Someone who talks to you for $300 an hour and claims to know your future is a scam-artist plain and simple.

WOW, hold the horses at $300 an hour. Looks like you are getting taken for a financial ride. Going to psychics is one of those things that people do, but don't broadcast that they do it. I'll admit it here -- been there and done that.

Psychics give good general advice like save your money, and take your vitamins. Good psychics tell you who to stay away from and give you particulars such as specific trips, the actions of your friends, job loss and how to handle troubling situations.

So, what really is the future? It is the actions that we and our friends and families plan to take and how they will affect us. My father always called psychics 'mind readers'. Meaning they read your mind and spin it back to you in statements like "I see"

I stopped going to psychics for religious reasons. Like it violates the First Commandement of 'Thou shall not have strange gods before me'. We have been told that only God knows the future and when we go to psychics we are assigning an attribute of God to a human being.

Okay, so you really find an accurate psyhcic, so don't you find it scary that there is a force or a being that has the inside scoop on your life? I do. A lot of Christians feel that the occult falls under the realm of the devil. I read one time that the devil has overt knowlege, meaning he can figure the actions we can take.
So, why mess with that situation? I stay away from Ouji Boards also.

A sign of the occult is super human knowledge. I was told by a priest that this is a good way to anger God and this is what David (? not sure on the biblical figure) who went to a wizard and God punished him by losing his battle/ and or kingdom. There are also all kinds of Bible passages that warn us about the occult. So get together with your Bible Study friends and read up on the Bible.

I read in the PD in a Saturday article back in the early 90s that people should stay away from psychics because demons/spirits can follow them home after readings. I thought this was totally creepy. Yes, this was in the PD! So, how do I handle all this? I tell myself to believe in DIVINE PROVIDENCE and when I think about it, I tell myself, that "The HOLY SPIRIT is my guide." Also, pray to your Guardian Angel. Us humans DO have great spiritual allies.

My advice, stay away from psychics. Get a prayer life and a Bible study life. A lot of times, you can be your own psyhcic. Trust your gut feelings about personal issues and people. If you think someone is trouble on the double, you may be right! Use your own FREE common sense to handle situations. You know, God DID give us all a brain to use. Surround yourself with good friends who can give you quality adice for FREE and not $300 an hour.

The downside of going to psychics. It can be addictive, and you may feel that you life is predestined and that you don't have control of anything. It might make you feel that they have more on the ball than you.

This may not be answer you were looking for, but I hope it puts you on a NEW spiritual and intellectual path.
Good Luck.

I have to second the opinion of the other responders. Don't grieve the Holy Spirit by consulting a psychic. If you want to know something, ask Him. If you're meant to know, believe me, He'll tell you. You don't want to mess around with the dark side.

I agree with Lin--try doing this on your own and save a lot of money! I have mixed feelings about this issue--it is certainly NOT of satan or anything evil or at least no more than when you see an advertisement claiming that a lotion can make you look 10 years younger or that a new car will get you a sexy new partner--it is a way that people are making money by selling you something! Whatever you decide to do, $300.00 is a huge waste of your money! You might look into psychic fairs--bigger cities often have them a couple times a year and there are a lot of people doing readings at the same place--you can walk around and do a little listening--see if you connect with any of them. I did acupressure at one of these fairs(some also have holistic health featured) and met a couple people who seemed genuine and they were the ones charging the least! No more than $30 to 60 per reading. There was one woman set up next to me who had the highest fees and I could hear her saying the same general stuff to everyone all day! We are all "psychic" to some degree--some of us are just a little more talented --like my brother is naturally artistic and my sisters are musical--while No one wants to hear me sing and you might recognize what I draw, but I always "know" where it will feel good when I work on my clients, and my fiance can do math in his head in a way that seems psychic to me who has to use a calculator for the simplest things! So you may find that you can get in touch with your own intuition or still may want the help of someone who is more talented in this area. Tarot, numerology, I Ching etc are all just tools to get in touch with your own intuition--which is what psychic powers are, also we are all connected through energy and some are more sensitive to this. Also a true psychic will NOT ever tell you something is definetly going to happen in the future because the future is not a given--it is inluenced by the choices we make every day. They can only tell you what the possibilities are--for example one of my daughters had an astrology reading which said that she would be a good teacher(she is trying to decide what to major in in college) She took that into consideration but has decided that is not what she wants to do. The astologist did not say to her --you are going to be a teacher. I personally think she should see a guidance counseler!
