Alright, JoCo Moms: I Need the Low down on Daycare!!

What is the best daycare center around here? Or in-home? We live in west Olathe, by K-7 and Harold. The Goddard School is down the street from us and we will be checking that out tomorrow. It's a little on the pricey side, we could make it work, but we want to see what else is out there that is also in the same area (maybe even head north into Lenexa a little, but not too far. We're big on the convenience, ha)

We have a 2 year old girl, (I'm not the bio-mom, however) and I am helping her dad find the best possible place for a brilliant, super energetic, yet strong headed little girl. (I can say brilliant cause I'm not her "real" mom ;)) We are young, and clueless. But this site has really helped me in one day! Please share your knowledge, as I really feel like hearing it from moms is more trusting. Her current situation is not working and she's in serious need of social interaction so she can just be a kid!! She's so strong-willed, I think she would thrive being around her peers and learning in a structured, safe, educational and loving environment! I am greatful for any and all help!

What can I do next?

I looked into Godderd School as well and they are good, but are VERY expensive. I really liked BUGS daycare which is located a few blocks west of K-7 on Dennis Avenue. I had chosen them over Goddered, but then decided to stay home with my little ones. I would definately check into BUGS!!! Here is their website http://www.bugselc.com/

I take my son to an in-home daycare once a week for "preschool" time and I love her to death. While I was pregnant with my second I was working part time so this is when we started with her, and now that I'm not working I still take him because we love her so much. They do a lot of organized activities, have weekly themes, and take field trips to go along with those themes. We interviewed about 15 in home daycares before we ended here, she was the last appointment we had and we are so grateful we kept looking. She also lives right at K7 and Harold also. Let me know if you would like her name and number.
