All Natural Mascara

Hi Ladies,

I am turning to you once again. For the past year any mascara brand I have bought seems to irritate my eyes and within an hour I have to take it off. At first I thought it was my eye cream or moisturizer getting in my eyes but this was not the case. So I have thought about buying the natural kind but I am so sick of wasting money with the trial and error process so I thought I would turn here. I have not worn it in a few months and miss it, some mornings my eyes really need it!

Do any of you have the same problem or have had the same problem and if so what kind of mascara are you using now?

What can I do next?

Hi!
Try Bare Minerals. I started using their products 3 years ago and continue to be thrilled every day with everything I use. My skin is sooooo much better now. Look up one of their boutiques and go for a one-on-one makeunder. You can try a bunch of stuff, walk around with it for a while and if it works come back and buy it. No loss. I still go in for makeunders when there's something new I want to try. It's fun...take a friend.

I do not have any "natural" answers for you, because I think we get scammed by this moniker, but if you purchase an item from a department store makeup counter, and you are allergic to it, you can take it back! You may be able to get refunds from the other places too, so keep your receipts.

I have used Maybelline Great Lash forever and ever and have never had a problem with it. I have had trouble with other products (eye creams, eyeliners, etc) - my eyes are pretty sensitive but Great Lash doesn't seen to cause problems for me.

I use Saffron Rouge organic mascara....it is expensive, I forget exactly but probably around the same as the other poster said about Bare Essentials, about $18 or so. I agree about returning your past purchase to the store. good luck!

Jane Iredale - LOVE all of the makeup and the mascara is great for my sensitive eyes as well. You can find it at some day spas, nicer facials places and beauty supply stores and go online.

No Lead and No Mercury in their products. Ladies, are you aware that a lot of lipsticks have lead in them - hence the vibrant color - and you are kissing your babies, licking your lips, eating food, and absorbing the neurotoxic metals. Powders and especially skin lightening products and mascara are notorious for containing Mercury. One of the problems is most makeups don't list all of the ingredients so how are we to know.

bare essentials has a great one out - about 18.00 so a little pricey, but good. I LOVE all of their make up

Mine is not all natural, but I have been using Mabelline Lash Discovery for I don't know how many years - I love it! I have very sensitive eyes and wear contact lenses and it doesn't bother me at all. I DON'T buy the waterproof type - perhaps that is what bothers your eyes??
Good luck!

OMG, my eyes are just as sensitive as yours and I've been searching around for a great mascara too!
I found one that I really like a lot, although it isn't all natural, its really great....its called Blinc. Check out their website, it's a bit pricey but what I love about it is the easy removal. Good luck

Jane Iredale - -- her makeup is great. she made it initially many years ago for plastic surgeons' patients because of skin sensitivities. it is only available in select spas. worth the time to search. or you could order by mail -- Molly's in Hermosa Beach carries her line.

Hi there, I have heard that ALL Clinique mascaras are made for sensitive eyes, but if you've tried various brands and have thus far had no luck, maybe try a holistic brand? I came across this site, which looks like it could be very helpful - best of luck. http://www.bewellstaywell.com/mascara.htm N.

OH I just thought of another - there is a place in Los Angeles called The Organic Pharmacy. They just made an incredible organic mascara - check it out, I bet you'll love.
