I would like to watch a few children at my home along with my son of course. How do I go about getting the word out? I don't know if word of mouth would be better than putting an ad in the paper. Any suggestions on what I could do? Or if anyone knows of any jobs I could get while bringing my son with me
Hello, My sister had alot of luck with finding babysitting kids through putting an ad on craigs list. Another good way is to contact local schools and preschools and leave your contact info in case parents ask for local babysitters. Best wishes!
You can also register thru your local YWCA. They keep a list for parents looking.
If you are looking to do this professionally there are some great ways to go about it. The state of OHio has a food program that you can enroll with and help you with the regulations. You get a reimbursement for the correct food you feed the children in your care. You have to pass a background check and have your home fire and health inspected. You can probably find lots of information if you google child care food program or something similar.
