What kind of jeans are your favorites? I can not afford the expensive brands and I need long size 33" inseam. Where do you buy yours at?

What can I do next?

Food for thought...
The expensive brands will last you for YEARS.

I love my Sevens. LOVE them.

My pairs are 5 yrs old and look like I bought them yesterday. They are fitted specifically to my body (as expensive denim does that).
Think of it as a long term investment.

And if you visit sites like:
www.ruelala.com
www.ideeli.com
www.hautelook.com
www.giltgroupe.com

You can usually find them (or one of the designer brands) for $100.

If you are really looking for incredible prices, I suggest the main store at the Power Square Mall (sorry, I have only just discovered it and don't remember the name--see the post immediately before mine). My 15-yr-old daughter is 6' and has to have the "long" jeans. We find them there for $8 to $15 per pair. A few weeks ago we got 4 pair of new jeans for school for under $40 and she loves them. Most are Lee brand, I think. If you happen to be a size 12, we have 4-5 pair we bought there at the beginning of the summer that are now too big and she hardly wore. We'd love to pass them on for $5 per pair. Please send me a private message if you're interested in this. Good luck.

The only jeans I've ever found that fit me right are from the Gap. I get them at the outlets. It's worth it to me to pay a little more for jeans that are comfy and look good. All the less expensive jeans I've got at Target get worn only a couple times because they don't fit right. I just stopped trying!

Also -- try retailmenot.com for coupon codes if you buy online!

My only fave jeans I always end up with are Levis 505 straight leg jeans. I am 5'5 and need a short in length. Go figure. If I get the medium (regular) they are weirdly baggy in the rise and make me feel like I have WAY too much fabric thru there. ISH. They do make a long in them. (Sorry, never actually measured my inseam...I just know in these a "Short" is the perfect length for me and makes the rise part perfect as well). They have a little stretch...the right shape for my body and the fabric for my sort of sensory issues I have. I love them! When not on sale or Kohls card discounts they are about $45 each...but I have some from like 10 years ago! I recently got 2 new pairs as I have lost some weight...

I do have capri's I LOVE LOVE this season that are Vera Wang..the less expensive line she has from Kohls (haven't tried any of her long jeans on tho). I shop at Kohls alot and have ALOT of tops from Vera Wang..and get my Levis there as well. I use my Kohls card so I can get the discounts, plus stuff is generally "always" on sale at some point. Now is a great time for jeans with Back to School stuff.

Do you have a nordstrom rack near you? It's hit or miss, but you can usually find a pair of designer jeans for $60-$100. When I find a pair (I like MEK and Big Star) that fit me well, I usually buy a couple of pairs and they last me for years. Good luck! Finding a good pair of jeans is not easy.

What is expensive to you?

I have great jeans from Guess that I paid $100 for that still look great and are going strong 7 yrs later. I think I got my $100 worth out of them!!

I also like Rock Revival which are well over $100...

You get what you pay for!! You can manage to get these brands on clearance racks if you look hard enough.

I typically just purchase from Kohls or Target but try on a bunch to make sure the jeans fit well. In the past few months I have looked, everyday, at a site called nomorerack.com........they have all sorts of designer things that are at rediculous discounts. I bought a pair of Elie Tahari jeans that have a regular price of $198 for less than $40........ok, I'm not just loving them b/c they are designer - they actually fit fabulous and the feel of the jeans is great.

I wear only one style- Gloria Vanderbilt "Amanda." They are cut just the way I like them and come in the short size I need. They do make them in long, too. What I like is that they are fitting in the rear, but have a tapered leg.

I love my old navy jeans. They have great sales so you can get a pair for $20 sometimes. They're separated into different styles so you can choose low rise to regular and they have longer lengths.

Old Navy has some long style jeans. I do like them but just know that because they are inexpensive, you aren't getting the best dyes or much denim. but they do the trick. Also, Macy's was having a sale on Levis and other brand names, such as Calvin Klein and they all make LONG inseams.. so check those out too..

best of luck

I have a 36" inseam and wear a size 4. I LOVE American Eagle jeans. If you sign up to get their stuff in the mail you'll get great coupons too. They last a long time (especially if you wash them in Woolite for darks and cold water, delicate dry). I've had mine for 6 years now.

Check out these two stores, I wear a 33" inseam also:

Decadence Boutique: http://www.decadenceboutique.net/default.html
They are located at Power & Baseline at the Power Square Mall (formerly the VF Factory Outlet Mall). They have LA Idol and Miss Me jeans very reasonably priced.

Buckle in the Superstition Springs Mall. (www.buckle.com) I know they have some very expensive jeans but the BKE brand is only about $75. That to me was expensive to since I only like to spend $30 on jeans but they have so many different fits it is pretty cool. I found two styles that I really like and went ahead and splurged over a year ago. They still look and fit great so you do get what you pay for.

I have a 34-35" inseam, and the only jeans I can wear are Gap (long size), or Silvers (from Maurice's). I've found that the extra $$ is so worth a great fitting jean that lasts and lasts! I've had most of my Gap and Silver jeans for over 5 years each and they still look like new. Gap isn't a bad price at all, around $40. The Silvers are about $50-60, but they often have buy one get one half off deals at Maurice's.
