Hey, Mama's!!!

First off, I want to say MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone here!!
Now, to my question.....our little boy is 2 1/2, and this year I want to be sure and get some Christmas portraits done.

We live in Carrollton, but I am willing to go almost anywhere in the Metroplex for GREAT pics at as low a price as possible. (I hate it, but our budget is still extremely tight, due to the medical issues we have had this year.)

Thanks for any input you can give us!

What can I do next?

Angela Griffin is awesome. We use her and love her. She is out of Denton, but will travel some. She is pretty flexible. I have a gift certificate I could give you for a free sitting and a free 8x10. If you are interested - let me know and I will get the gift certificate to you. My separate e-mail address is ____@____.com - I can also provide you with her contact info.

Thanks, C.

There are so many good places. James French may be taking photos at the Arboretum for $15. each; he has done that before, and his quality of work is very good.

I've found that JC Penney's is actually very good (I've used the one at Valley View Mall), and I know there have been many reccomendations on this website. You might search around the past requests to find more suggestions. Good luck - how fun to have an older son to help with the younger one.

We used Portrait Innovations this year because our budget was tight also. They did a great job for a great price! They use a real digital camera, not an attached one on a stand, to take the pictures and they take a lot of them! We were very pleased with the results!

go to portrait innovations! They are truley the best! They use digital caneras so you don't have to sit and pose. They just click away!

That's the only placew I get pictures done!

Portrait Innovations is very reasonably priced, imo. If you stick with just your favorite pose and only get their basic package, it's only $9.95 + tax. It includes one 10x13, 2 8x10, 4 5x7, 4 3x5, and 32 wallets. It gets more expensive as you add more poses or sheets.

I spent $180 there just yesterday, but got a ton of pics and poses, a cd with all the pics and Christmas cards. Usually you can take your pictures home about 20 minutes after you've decided which ones you like and pay for them. But right now they are a little backed up because of the holidays and I had to wait an hour and a half for mine to be ready.

The only drawback to Portrait Innovations is that the largest sheet size they have is 10x13... you can't even order larger pictures than that.

I agree with the recommendations for Portrait Innovations. We live in Carrollton and go to the Plano one; we've gone just about every 3 months since our son was born (sometimes we go to one in Houston when we're visiting my family). They do a great job with kids and there's no pressure to buy. And what you DO buy is very inexpensive.

Good luck!

E. :)
