Which Magazines Do You LOVE?

Ladies--my hubby bought me a year's subscription to a magazine (i think it was a door-to-door school fundraiser). I'm trying to decide which one to get and thought y'all may have some imput. I'm definitely wanting something that includes decorating ideas but also wouldn't mind other "girlie" type things. I'm considering: Family Circle, Home, Ladies' Home Journal, Lucky, Elle Decor, Domino, House and Garden...let me know if any of you have any of these and would recommend them. Thanks!

What can I do next?

I love redbook, O (the oprah magazine), and Southern Living.

Elle Decor is nice but there is usually nothing I can pull from there as all of the ideas are super expensive.

...side note: I'm 29 and think GoodHousekeeping is a wonderful magazine also!

I love Cottage Living. It is very similar to Southern Living but with a more relaxed flair. I really enjoy it.

Good luck.

I love Allure. I don't really care for Lucky. I would suggest you go to your local Barnes & Noble and thumb through a few. See which one meets most of your wants.

I realize I'm old enough to be mother to most of you ladies....but my favorite magazines are the new Everyday With Rachel Ray and GoodHousekeeping. Lots to read and look at in both. They probably aren't even on your list.

I am a HUGE Real Simple fan too ... It does not have all of the ads, and a ton of useful information. Have fun!

Domino is great, but you can get it anytime for $1 an issue, so you might want to use the special promotion for something else if you're trying to get a great price on the magazine. I love Elle Decor, too.

What are all these links doing in my response? They're not even what I was talking about and I didn't put them there. Ignore the links to Domino and Decor - both of them are wrong.

I'm a Cosmopoliton kinda girl, its has more about YOU. Relationships, Marriges, etc, oh and beauty as well. Fashion, whatever, but if you are wanting something more family oriented to decorate your home ideas, and recipes, etc, go with family circle, Ladies Home Journal, great magazine, or redbook is a good one too. good luck.

I really like Ladie's Home Journal. It has a little bit of everything: Beauty, Fashion, Decorating, Human Interest, etc. :)

It's not in your list, but Mothering is my favorite magazine. Body+Soul is good, too.

I love Redbook and Cosmo. Redbook tends to have more family and all around daily life stuff.

Just so you know, you probably will never recieve those mags. I've ordered through them, and so have some of my friends and we have NEVER gotten them. It's some weird company that hires young adults that travel around the country selling these. They get more points per more expensive magazine you buy. Whoever wins the most points gets some bonus or vacation or something. This has been going on for at least 10 years that I know of. Maybe there are some honest kids that will actually turn in your money/order form, I've never met one though!!!! Maybe your hubby didn't order from these people though. Anyways, I like Southern Living and Martha Stewart (there's a lot of ads though). I also love Cosmo.
