Dr. Alvis (at Ridge and Virginia) does it. It is a lot more expensive, but I feel better about it.

We did it at Claire's. It is not a big gun anymore like when I did it as a kid. The piercing gun fits in the palm of the girls hand, so your child never sees it and it is only used on one ear and then thrown away. It is very clean. They also gave us a big bottle of cleaner to use on the ears for 6 weeks and a bunch of coupons to use when she can start changing her earrings. I would recommend them.

Our pediatrician's office pierced our daughter's ears. I felt safer there. Good luck!

I had my daughter's ears pierced at Claire's in the Allen outlet mall. They did a really good job, were very clean, and friendly.

I would suggest spending a bit of extra money on this procedure - why you ask? Most of us got our ears pierced at an accessories store or a department store - and now we have to wear those special backs or really tight to make the earings stand up straight. If you spend a bit extra and take them to someone who specializes they will put the earing in so that studs that a bit heavier stand up by themselves. It also makes the earrings look better. The only place I know of is La Lobe in Dallas. You might try calling her, and asking for a place near you. She's an expert at it and her procedure doesn't hurt. Hope that helps!!

Don't know where, but I heard to make sure you have two done at the same time (meaning both ears at the same time) so they won't chicken out after the first. Great idea!!!
