What's Your Praise Report Today?

I got to see my husband for the evening last night and we were able to go out to eat together. He is trying to help his Dad harvest corn and works full time as a police officer. He has to drive three hours each way to get to his Dad's. It's been crazy! I am truly thankful for the chance to be with him. He drove six extra hours just to spend time with me. God has blessed me with one wonderful man! I am also so incredibly thankful for all these wonderful kids that are driving me crazy. Bed time is just 15 minutes away!!

I was doing my grocery shopping today at Walmart and upon leaving noticed a man in one of those motorized shopping carts. He had dropped his walking stick and was having a bit of difficulty getting up off that cart. I rushed over to pick up his walking stick for him which he was very grateful for. I didn't do it to be like "Hey, God, hey everybody,check out the good deed I just did." I did it because I relish those opportunities because God has blessed my life so much and has extended me so much grace for my own shortcomings, that I love helping others when I can. I do it out of gratitude, out of loyalty, out of sheer joy to reflect His beauty whenever I can. Even if it is something as insignificant as picking up a walking stick that took me all of 2 seconds to do. I am glad you had a blessed day!

My daughter's knee injury, is getting better.
My tall 5 & 9 year old kids... have been since this morning, jumping up into my lap every time I sit down... and cuddling w/me... like as though they were 3 years old.
Makes me 'glad'...that they still like to do things like that. ;)

My husband asked if Id like to go to the Home and Garden show to see if there is anything new on the market we might want for the new house we are buying! I asked, "who are you and what did you do with my real husband?" lol..We had fun, talked to several vendors with products we might need for this house as well as the new house and saw a couple friends we hadnt seen in a while. On the way home we saw the sign at the high school for a fund raiser for the music department which is our favorite thing since our son was big into music in that school. We stopped and bought 3 tri tip dinners and came home and had ours and saved one for our daughter. YEAH! Yummy food, no cooking, fun day out, and exctement for moving to a new house in a few weeks! Thank you God for being generous to me when I need it most. (o:

I was able to help a friend today in opening her new consignment shop and fashion store...

I was blessed today to meet a W. in the grocery store and we talked about God for a few minutes..we shared our stories, praised God and prayed together right then and there...I felt lifted, blessed and really fortunate to have the good fortune of meeting her and all the gifts God has bestowed upon me!!

We're in the process of transferring most of the operations of our little non-profit publishing house to a family in another state.

Over the past three days, we loaded our entire book inventory, all shelving, all materials for support kits, all furnishings from three locations into a 28-foot semi. Today we were assisted by my amazing son-in-law, some members of our board of directors, and two paid heavy-lifters. The trailer is packed to the roof.

It was an smooth, cheerful process, in spite of the fact that most of us are in serious pain now. But we're all still vertical, and we finished early!!!!! A whole day early!!!! I expected we'd be working into the night today and tomorrow.

I am so grateful. Friends are so good.

We have had a true answer to prayer this week!!! The SIL of one of my dear friends...(he is married to my oldest daughters childhood BFF) had massive heart attack and was down at least 10 minutes without breathing before the medics got there. His wife was told to prepare for the worst...and was asked if she knew what his "end of life" desires were!! Less than a week later he is out of ICU....only seems to be having some trouble with some short term memory issues!! Even the doctors and nurses are amazed and calling it a miracle!! Thank you God for Answered Prayers!!!

I'm in NJ and we were hit with a snow storm today of all things - about 4-5 inches of wet slushy slippery stuff. I slept in this morning while my early risers (hubby & daughter) went over to our church to do some indoor cleaning. Later we all spent the day hanging around the house doing some straightening, cleaning & laundry - all of which were very much needed. We laughed a lot & just had a fun non stressful day. My sister invited us over for dinner so we spent the evening with her and some friends making pizzas. I'm so thankful that I have people I love around me who make me laugh and help make life fun. I'm thankful to have a warm house to come home to (that still has power unlike many towns around us). I'm thankful to be looking forward to singing & worshiping the Lord at church in the morning even though I have to be up in 5 hours to get to rehearsal. I'm especially thankful for all the nice people on this site who I can turn to to ask a question or share a laugh. God is good.

I've been pretty chill today, messing around with house chores, husband just laying around watching tv and not bothering me with anything. It's been pretty relaxing. Thank you Lord for a non eventful Saturday.

My husband and I had lunch and a movie. It was "Nuremberg." We were able to meet the film maker and talk to her and also a veteran who was at the liberation of Mauthausen.

Our family went to see "In Time" . . . an absolutely fascinating and thought-provoking movie.

Otherwise we had a quiet and peaceful day, which was nice!

Got to see my friend's new adopted son on an face time. He is lovely.

I washed a large load of whites yesterday, and as I was taking them out of the washer, what was lurking in the back? A brand new solid red shirt!!

Were my clothes pink? No! Nary a pink shirt was found . . .

Yes, I THANKED Him out loud for that! : )
