What Are You Doing for New Years Eve? What's Your Resolution?

My husband and I probably don't have a sitter (we're still waiting to hear back from our last resort sitter), so we're probably taking our son down to our boat club to see which members are hanging out, then we'll come home when he's ready to go to bed... then we'll probably attempt to stay up to watch the ball drop, just the 2 of us, and probably won't last past 9pm ;)

Either way, I'm putting on makeup and heels BECAUSE I CAN!! ;)

So what are you doing for new years eve? Big plans? No plans?

What's your new years resolution? I don't know what mine is yet, and yes, I usually give myself ONE thing to work on ;)

HAPPY AND HEALTHY NEW YEAR TO YOU!! :)

What can I do next?

We are doing NOTHING and are soooooooo looking forward to it. We declined invitations to 2 parties because we just want to sit at home and veg out for once.

My resolutions:
* To log off the computer and get to bed before midnite every night
* To be more organized with my household tasks--not as detailed as the Fly Lady, but better than now.
* To watch my impulse buys
* To control paper clutter better than I am now

We don't go anywhere because I don't like all the crazies!!!

I am volunteering at a community sleepover while the kiddos are awake. This way we have a party without having people here, the clean up, the cost, etc..
My child has a blast.

Food and xbox fun with family. My kids go to bed around 8:30 and my husband and I are usually in bed by 10pm! We are woken up briefly by the sound of yelling and some fireworks at midnight, mumble Happy New Year to each other, and then roll over and go back to sleep! LOL I wouldn't have it any other way! Welcome 2012!!

Cheese fondue, grill a steak and probably play games with the kids. We used to often rent movies, but our younger son has a concussion and is on limited electronics for awhile. Our older son and my husband will probably have a football, BB or hockey game on. I love the relative quiet of it all. (Showing my age?) I don't really believe in resolutions although in the past they've been things like be more patient with my kids and organize/de-clutter my house. Happy New Year to you too.

Then we will enjoy the quiet that is our home for a few hours and pick up the kiddo in the am. So, now I am sitting doing my make up and checking out Mamapedia and all that good stuff, daddy will be home soon and I want to look GOOD for him all night!

Going to a Concert held by a ton of Local bands, at Occupation Park in Tacoma. I am super stoked to ring in the New Year with my new Family.

I do not want to put this year behind me. I want to hold it out in front of me to realize I have been able to live through hell and back. Everything else from here on is merely learning from the last year and making life better.

My Resolutions....Occupy Occupy Occupy. Get as many people I can to fully understand the very broad and complex task of what the Occupation really is.....And hope to be able to reach as many people as I can.

I am also going to make this a whisper year. Meaning I only whisper when inside. I tend to have a very very loud voice. I have to make sure all my little ears hear me. This year I am giving my inside voice a try:) And I will encourage my minions to do the same:)

I can not even begin to wrap my head around the year to come. When I think about the ''What ifs'' that could happen I get excited, scared and my brain starts to go a million directions. so I will live each day as if it is my last. Love my friends family and strangers in my life, as if it is the last moments I will spend with them and Just be happy to be in each moment as they come...Good or bad.

Cheers to a New Year...I have never been so excited to see one come:)

its our anniversary. when he gets off work we will go home and spend the rest of the night by the fire.

resolutions
I do plan to eat better and workout more. If I plan ahead and stock healthy meals at work, I should save $ eating out. That sounds reasonable and do-able to me.

but oh goodness. my whole office has decided to become brand new people. They decided to quit smoking, start eating healthy, working out, sticking to a budget, being more organized at work! Ugggh, there are going to be some grumps up here!

I'm on bedrest, so I'll probably be asleep before midnight. My MIL is in town to help with my daughter, so she is making a big dinner, but after that nothing. Before I was put on bedrest, we were planning on going to a hockey game. My 2 year old loves hockey and it's a local minor league team so it's cheap and close to home. As for resolutions, I don't usually make any because they are so disappointing. I always try to have more patience and understanding of others, but that's an ongoing resolution that doesn't start at the New Year. A friend of mine just posted on Facebook, if there is something you don't like about yourself, don't wait for New Years, change it now. It makes a lot of sense to me.

well, I and my husband will be at our friend's party...as for bedtime for the baby...well I am seriously considering bringing over her swing. She can sleep in it even if there is a lot of noise because it vibrates, swings, and makes seven different white noise sounds. Is this overkill? maybe, but, every time we have tried to get her to sleep there on a regular night she always has a hard time and stays awake much longer than she does at home.

No plans yet. A friend asked us what we were doing b/c he wants to party. So my parents would likely take our kiddo if we do go party. Our regular go-to-friends for New Years are out of town this year. So nope - nothing planned yet but possibly a night for me and hubby to get 'us' time.

No resolution yet. I don't really make resolutions. Nice idea, but I never follow thru.

We had an out of town guest who insisted we go out to eat just the two of us so we went to my favorite restaurant but then we came home, hung out with the kids and our guest and went to bed. I missed the ball drop which I have only done once or twice...oh well!!! :)

I have 2 resolutions: 1. since we have finally found a reliable sitter - I want to have 1 adult only night each month (can be just us or with friends) and 2. try to get healthier myself and keep my husband as healthy as possible (he's having scary health problems).

We are staying home with our ten year old son and having our own party! Mainly playing games, have a nice dinner, bring out the party hats, horns, popper's etc., watch all of the New Year shows, watch the ball drop and toasting with sparkling juice of some sort at midnight. That's if we make it that long before falling asleep! lol. We used to be quite the party goers before our son was born, but now we would just rather hang out with him and not get out with all of the crazy people. Happy New Year to all!

New Year Resolution...to try to take better care of myself such as eating better and excercising more and to get my home a bit more organized.

my 24yo started his wkend already....whatever :( Was doing shots by 5pm, spending the wkend with friends until Sunday. Aaaargh.

my 15yo has a crew of friends coming over 2moro....which means I get to spend the time doing whatever I want!! Love it!! My DH & I have already planned the menu for the entire wkend, split the cooking duties.....so all is good. I'm taking the late shift for chaperone...& he's pulling the early morning shift.

We are both soooo thankful that the teen party is here. :)

As for resolution: to be better organized. To work toward shutting down the daycare & entering the office workforce. Time to plan for benefits, in case something happens to my DH. :) Seriously, these are all good things!....our older son is thru his hip replacemt & heading back to college (out of state, to boot!). & our younger son will be driving full-time next summer, so Mom's taxi is being shut down, too! OH, yeah! :)

I like Ephie's resolution. :) I'm still thinking on mine. There's TONS I wanna tackle. I laughed at Tracy's comment about her office: I wanna be a whole new person too (haha). Nah---just reassessing, seeing what needs improvement and HOW. We like the track we're on, but could definately improve.

We have "informalized" our NYE last minute. Yesterday I answered something similar and thought about my backyard camp outs from when I was little, and mentioned that to Jer. He thinks it sounds cool. So, we're going to break out the new tent and sleeping bags Santa brought us, do the tent sealant on them in the morning so they'll be good to go by evening. We're gonna do the whole wienie roast, s'mores, cocoa on the campfire thing, tell silly stories, dance, play horseshoes, Tball, charades, guess who, etc, etc. Closer to 9pm we'll put on our hats, mardi gras beads, and blow our horns, throw balloons around, yell "good night old year" and go to bed early. We'll be up really early and run off to the beach to see the sun rise on the first day of the new year and greet it with a toast, then come home and have strawberry french toast, bacon, mimosas, and go to church. We'll have naps after church I'm sure, and then in the evening we'll have the more formal meal that we usually have on NYE, just for NYD instead.

get organized! I already started! Woohoo! I cleaned out my closets, cleaned out old clothes and bought a filing folder, whats even better? I already went through and organized all my loose paperwork!

What else? Budget. But for real. I'm sick of seeing my money drain away!!

Use the gym membership I pay for every month!

I'll be spending the day trying to get my dog wore out. He's such a big baby, spoiled, and has huge anxiety when left alone. Once I get him tired out and ready to sleep, we are meeting at my oldest daughters house for our official Christmas. We'll only be together about 4 hours or so before I really want to come back to my house. That's when a live service will start for new years eve with Kenneth Copeland Ministries. I'm also to bring my grandson home before they start their evening drinking. UGH.. I wish my kids knew how to party without booze.

Resolutions... Just keep doing what I'm doing.
