I have a Vitamix and they have recipes on their website for all kinds of yummy treats, as well as savory recipes like soups. Hard to believe that you can make a hot, steamy, creamy soup in a blender, without ever putting it in a pot!

Well, school starts tomorrow and I drive the bus, so today is last minute school shopping, grocery shopping and just enjoying the day before getting back to the grind.

I am sitting in my bathrobe, nursing my youngest, typing on Mamapedia, and thinking how we really should've started school 12 minutes ago and where is the morning going. Thinking about the errands I have to run today, and I think my child just pooped.

Well, I hope your land mass survives the hurricane well! We live up in Indiana and thought it was funny when they showed all 8 paths the hurricane can take to get up to us...all in different colors. It looked like a kid had a handful of crayons and drew on the map! It made us giggle.

I'm sitting here while the girls watch Monkey See, Monkey Do while we wait for the school bus to take the oldest. Then I'm off to see the neurosurgeon and hopefully get some answers!!!

I'm in Baton Rouge, so I'm doing pretty much what you are. I have a friend from Slidell and her two kids asleep on my couch. Dogs (my three and her two) have all been let out to potty, cats (all sixteen of them) are inside. Gassed up her car and mine, drew out cash and added a few more things for the kids to the grocery stockpile yesterday. Secured patio furniture last night. Now we're just waiting

Got the girls on the bus and now I'm killing time until I get to go to the dentist. Yay me! (not) Although I will take the dentist over a hurricane. Stay safe!

I've gotten my daughter off to school and am finishing up my first cup of coffee. Played Farmville on Facebook. Answered a few emails.

Printed out my coupon for a free Caribou Coffee for my birthday!! Also, thinking about printing out a coupon for Hobby Lobby - 40% off one item - want to get some owl beads to make my daughter a bracelet!! I LOVE being on SOME mailing lists!!!

Waiting for my son to finish up his breakfast and get to school - he's a Senior now and gets to go in late because he doesn't have any classes the first couple periods. Then I'm off to the mall!!!

6:36 a.m. Up, awake-- even before Kiddo.
Considering taking percoset-- I have kidney stones and cramps right now. This loveliness has been going on since Thursday. ugh.
Plans: eat breakfast, take care of the basics, lay low. I promised Kiddo that we would make banana muffins today, so yes, likely more fun than Hurricane Prep.

Writing newsletters for my job and my volunteer role on our PTA. School started yesterday so I know they'll want a newsletter soon :)

Anyway, we won't be much affected by it where we are (some more rain is probably about it). We are on the SE GA coast. (near Jekyll Island)

I am just catching up on here while my kids finish getting ready for school. Then I'm taking them to catch the bus...Pickup is at 6:55 a.m.

Well, we are up and getting ready for school. It was cancelled yesterday bc of the hurricane. Fortunately we only had light wind and rain. I hope the same for you.

One daughter is watching Sid and I am waiting for the other to wake up....

I just finished my morning yoga and now I am about to go make some coffee, and get my son out of bed. Then it's Sprout channel for a lil bit while I get ready and then my sister is coming over in awhile so we can go get her some new tires for her car. Exciting life isn't it? ;)

I am waiting for the movers to come and load up my house.....and trying not to cry!!!
I cried so much last night my eyes are puffy :(
I thought I was ready for this 3 hour away move.....maybe not LOL

Hope you made it through the hurricane ok! I am from "Land-Mass" too but now reside in Louisiana. We got Isaac pretty bad but we are ok!
