I love the smell of freshly paved garage/floor that gets wet after it has been set a few days; the smell of brand new car interior; the smell of new rubberbands; the smell of the car engine after it is driven a while & hot; the smell of a brand new tire - Now that you get the idea, I am curious to know if I am alone lol - What's your weird smell

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

This is fun and the more I am beginning to feel normal :-). I forgot about sawdust and new doll. The smell when you just strike a match and rain after a dry dusty day. I like those too!

I like the way it smells outside before it begins to rain. I like the smell of freshly cut grass, the smell of smoke (like from a fire--my hubby is a firefighter and it reminds me of him), and the smell of Navy ships (my hubby used to be a sailor and the ships have their own unique smell).

I like all of those odors. Nothing weird about them. I also like the smell of a baby, of baby powder, of baby diapers. And the smell of freshly bake bread or cookies. I love the smell of the outdoors after a rain.

The fact that we like smells is an indicator that we are aware of our surroundings and are enjoying life. Nothing weird about any of that.

I love the smell of the ocean! That salt watery breeze makes me feel like a little girl again.

The smell of wet pavement, it always reminds me of when I used to spend summers with my Grandma.

Fresh cut grass.
Chlorine pool water.
Fresh baby smell!

Downy from our laundry
New anything! Shoes, car, tents lol. I guess just that new plastic smell.

And one of my favorites, my son after I wash his hair in the bath. Love it, so sweet and clean!

i agee the smell of a new car is definatley a good one so is the smell of a fire.. but the weirdest one i like is sawdust i remember being a kid and going down to the office of my his uncles construction business with my dad after work (many people in my family do construction) and in the back where they kept trucks n equipment in one of the garages they had a huge table saw .. there would be piles of sawdust bigger than me id play in it and get yelled at but ever since then i love the smell .. my fiance gets weirded out because on days when he does mostly carpentry at work and comes home covered in saw dust i feel the need to smell his shirt lol

I love the smell of a new doll..probably reminds me of when I was a child. The smell of a bus terminal...reminds me of when I took my first bus trip to Florida...because I wanted to see a real palm tree...I was 17. And I do like the smell of a magic marker...but I don't seek them out...lol.

I don't think any of the smells mentioned are weird. Now if you liked the smell, of dog poo, that would be weird!

I like horses, newborn babies, fresh cut grass, coffee, baking, the ocean, wattle, gardenias, boats, lemongrass, new cars, bbqs, airports, Christmas presents, l'Occitane body wash, the list goes on.

oh my, what a wonderful thread!!!
not sure if mine are weird or not, but here they are.
i love seasonal smells. right now i'm totally grooving on multiflora rose, honeysuckle and thorn locust. by summer it will be strawberries, the sizzling smoke of the grill and one of my absolute faves, fresh-cut hay. in the fall i love woodsmoke, decaying leaves and pumpkin spice, and who doesn't adore all the scents of christmas?
there are so many more too. most horses smell nice, but some are amazing. my blue pony jasmine is one of the most fragrant horses i know. her muzzle and that super-soft spot right behind her ears smell so good i sometimes have to hold her there while she sighs and rolls her eyes so i can just keep inhaling her. new car is awesome, of course. i don't bake much bread any more (bread doesn't love me as much as i love it, unfortunately) but the smell of a fresh loaf sends me into ecstasies. i love the smell of just-broken earth, and of tomato plants. the tomato plants are funny, one of my best friend absolutely abhors smell of the belladonnas. we each think the other is nuts. i love that electric smell during a thunderstorm, but i'm kinda looney about thunderstorms. it's almost painful for me to stay inside if it's wild and bellow-y outside. and baby-after-a-bath! so wonderful that it's worth it to endure baby-before-a-bath!
