I bought clings recently, the ones that you can stick on your windows, take off and reapply. How to I keep them nice until the next time they are used. I bought some for the holidays (St. Patricks Day, Easter, etc) and have been recluntant to use them because I am afraid that once I pull off the protetive plastic and use them once, that will be it. Any ideas?

What can I do next?

You just need to save the sheets that they come on and re-apply them there when you take them down. If you're talking about the "jelly" clings, do not put them in a ziploc bag. The different colors will bleed together and you will end up with a blotchy mess by next year (I'm in charge of decorating my hospital unit and someone "helped out" last year by taking down all the Easter jelly clings and putting them in one big ziploc bag. They were destroyed.) Just save the clear plastic sheets they come on and put them back there when you're done. If they are dusty or covered in cat hair (again from experience!) simply rinse them in soapy water and the stickiness will return.

I just put mine back on the sheet they came on. If they get dirty/dusty, I read somewhere to just wipe them with a wet wash cloth, (don't dry) and they will stick again. I have had mine for years and years. I only have to throw them out when they fade which takes many years, (at least 5!) I store all of them flat on a shelf in the closet.

I just stick them together and store in a plastic bag then when you want to use them again, clean your window and put them on right away, they stick great, if they aren't just gently wipe the side that sticks to the window with some glass cleaner on a paper towel and stick it back on the window. Have fun!

another great thing is when you can find them at a dollar store, then its only a dollar if they don't work again, but mine always have :)

I keep mine in an album. I had found one years ago for clings through one of those catalogs...Lillian Vernon, or maybe it was a Current catalog. Wasn't all that expensive and it keeps them looking nice. Don't know if the one I have is still available from some company out there, but it just looks like a photo album anyway, so maybe that would work for you instead. Good luck!

Hi R.,
I have a lot of these and I get the books from Current, Inc. for holding the clings in! They work great and you get something like 15 pages to put them in! I finally had to get a seperate book for Christmas because I had so many just for that holiday! I've got 2 books- one for the rest of the year, and one for Christmas/winter. Works great for me!

I put them in a big ziplock bag. They stick to each other, but they come apart easily.
