Does anyone know of a nice, but yet inexpensive place to stay at Virginia Beach? Four adults and 3 children? I have been looking online and I think I missed a lot of the nice ones and now I either get ones that don't look nice or are way out of our price range. Time got by on us. I should have had our reservation in weeks ago!
So any advice on where to stay? We have never stayed at VA beach and yes we are set on VA beach.

have you checked rentalo.com? We have found good rental homes through them in the past (not in VA Beach, but in other places) and never had a problem. We are going to VA Beach in June when school gets out but we are able to rent a house on the base since my husbands uncle works there :) Have fun! I love it there!
Are you military? We went in July 2011 and we are going this year again for my daughter's dance finals. While we love to stay ON the beach, we don't like the $300 a night prices that are average. We stay on base in Norfolk at the lodge for $75 a night. We have it booked for this July also.
I've never stayed there but someone recommended Turtle Bay resort to me. Not directly on the beach but they loved it.
We were there a few years ago in April and stayed at the Days Inn Oceanfront. Because it was off-season we only paid $59/night but if you are planning on going anytime after Memorial Day you will probably spend over $200/night. I know there used to be a company called Sandbridge Realty that rented beach homes by the week. I don't know if they are still around but it would be worth checking out. We are planning another trip down there next spring and I am already looking forward to it. I just love that area!
