How and where can I get rid of my varicous veins? I had them terribly while pregnant with twins( 8 months ago) and they are now better but still visible. I hate them.

The only way to get rid of varicose veins is by a vascular Dr. they inject a needle in the vein and put a saline solution in the vein to close it up, but there are other options, acupuncture may elevate pain but not the bulging vein, also no herbal remedy will get rid of veins, it a nice idea however it won't work. I would follow Leah R's advise. I am getting my veins done after I have my baby, my veins got out of control with this pregnancy and I hate looking at my legs, so I totally empathize with you. Have a great day.

Accupunture is one of the best methods to make them retreat. My grandmother and all her siblings had surgery for the condition which is hereditary.

This is what people tell me has helped them. Varicose veins are due to constipation which I am assuming you had during pregnancy.

Lecithin
Alfalfa
Multi-vitamin
May need calcium

There are several vascular clinics in Portland that do laser ablation of varicose veins. I had mine done at Vanishing Veins near Providence Portland. Dr. Alexander near St. Vincent does them as well, and I hear he gives you a free sclerotherapy treatment for your spider veins with each ablation. Wish I'd gone to him.
