How many days will you eat Thanksgiving leftovers before you decide it's too old?

(Before you get really grossed out, we didn't make our turkey till Sunday.) So, is 5 days max?

What can I do next?

I must be gross...I keep everything a full 7 days before I decide to chuck it. Sometimes it will get tossed before that if it looks or smells funky but otherwise I eat it at least a week.

4-5 days is ok, but you can also freeze left over meat and that will be good for about 3 months.

Three... 5 if I'm chopping it up and boiling it in soup or something, but that's a stretch.

4-5 days for the turkey is ok in the frig. You can freeze the turkey leftovers for about 6mos. depending on what type of freezer container you use to help prevent freezer burn. :-)

More like 3. If it's been out for five days, time to chuck it.

I do 4 days at most and that is not on the bone. I try to get the meat off and freeze part of it in a couple days.

I keep about two days worth in the fridge and freeze the rest. I hate to throw food out. It's good longer than that, I just get tired of it.

3 days. Tops. Anything more than 3 days old gets composted or fed to the dog.

HOWEVER... I eat leftovers all month.

??!??!??

Freezer.

As in I freeze right after cooking/cooling, and defrost portions all month.

Until I open the ziploc and it smells funny.

Then I toss it.

That might not work for everyone...I have a ridiculously good sense of smell.
