I am going to make a tuna casserole tonight and I would like some idea's on how to make it more "exciting". Granted, tuna casserole is nothing exciting, but i'd like to make it differently than I normally do. So, if you have any great ideas/recipes i'd love to hear 'em. what makes your tuna casserole "the bomb"?!?!?!?!

I like my tuna casserole plain just a can of tuna, cream of mushrooms soup, one can of milk, one small can of sliced mushrooms with fettuchini noodles and a lot of cheese on top!

I don't know how exciting this sounds but here it is ~ 1 bag egg noodles, 2 cans cream of celery, 2 cans albacore tuna, frozen peas and shredded cheddar cheese. I don't really measure the peas or cheddar... just throw as much as you want in.

This may not be what you are looking for (meaning, you'd have to have some extra ingredients on hand), but OH is it good! When I originally found it, I'm pretty sure the topping was parsley, not arugula. And you can ignore the "imported" and "aged" stuff; I made it with regular tuna & cheese....

I add 1/2 cup of sour cream and some sauteed celery and onion. I would love to add some red pepper, but we cannot tolerate it.

My sister adds peas to hers.

oh my, its not the healthiest, but we love it from time to time. Big bag of potato chips, family size can of tuna, can of peas, onion, cream of golden mushroom soup. Mix peas, onions, tuna in a bowl. crush chips. Mix soup with one can of milk. In a casserole dish, put a layer of crushed chips, layer of tuna mix, pour some soup on, repeat. Then Last is layer of chips, rest of soup on top. Bake until golden brown. 375 for an hour or so. Cover first half, then remove cover for second half. YUMMY!!!

The usual tuna, cream of mushroom soup, noodles, and peas then from there you can add parmesean cheese, cracker crumbles, Durkee fried onions, or even sprinkle cheddar cheese on top and melt. Add some salt to taste.

I use the same recipe of what my mom use to make for us.

1 regular box of maconori and cheese
1 small can cream of chicken
1 can of tuna fish(drain)

*Cook macs as the box says.Add the stuff for the macs as it is requireds(Butter, milkand cheese powder) MIxed together.
* then Add the cream of chicken
*And add a can of DRAIN tuna fish and mixed all together.

**Good thing you can do it on the burner top beside cooking it in the oven.Plus once it done you can add cheese or not and pretty easy to cook under 15 minutes and my kids love it!!!

We enjoy a real quick recipe, which is easy to vary. I use a can or two of tuna, cream of mushroom soup, over or mixed in with cooked rice. I also use a little curry powder. Sometimes I top the tuna mixture with seasoned stuffing, or bread crumbs topped which can then be topped with shredded cheese- your choice of which cheese you like. I sometimes also add colored peppers (or other veggies) to the tuna mix. I bake the mixture in the oven or microwave.

Have a good meal. It will be fun to read others' recipes too.
