My husband and I are very excited to be trying for another. I know everyone says relax and enjoy is their method but i am 35 and eager for it to happen somewhat quickly, if possible. So I am curious for your tips......do you use ovulation strips? go daily or every other? elevate hips etc. Thanks and please no bashing!

What can I do next?

why would someone bash you over wanting baby #3? Good Lord!!!

I'm not sure what method of birth control you have been using..if it's the pill - give it 30 days to make sure your system is operating properly....then every other day - but make it FUN not a chore!!! Once the "process" becomes a chore, it puts stress on the body and our bodies go into fight or flight mode...soooooo...HAVE FUN!!!

I had my kids at 39 and 42, using a Clear Blue fertility monitor both times. I know it's pricey, but was spot-on both times.

Good Luck!

use an ovulation chart to give you a general idea of ovulating and then let it go...Have fun...That's what we did with #3. Guess what...it happened quickly just like the first two. We were having fun and not stressed about it.

Here's another little suggestion. Acupuncture. This goes a long way towards balance and relaxation for you -- two things that certainly can aid in conceiving your baby.

I don't know whether I am just biased, but I have a whole lot of faith in asian acupuncturists who own little tiny clinics that don't have a lot of the "bells and whistles" that some other, more Americanized places do. Somehow the ones that aren't so gussied up are more interested in the human condition. JMO.

Good luck!

First off, wishing you the best of luck! I've always done better when not trying, not preventing. It took longer when actually trying to concieve. So my first tip is try not to let it consume you. It's going to happen when it's meant to, as long as you're helping it along, LOL. I never used the ovulation strips and I never temped. A good resource is fertilityfriend.com There is a free version and it has a lot of helpful info. Good luck!

Have sex about 7-10 days before you think you'll begin your cycle (use an ovulation tracker to help, just google it to find one online), and make sure he finishes deep inside of you, then stays there for a few seconds, then YOU stay laying down (hips up is good) for a good 20-30 minutes (even better, fall asleep!), don't rush off to pee or anything.'

Yeah, we conceived #3 on the first try (well, #3 for me, he's never had kids and he was 37 at the time and we didn't even know if his little guys could swim!!)... so that's what worked (and worked FAST) for us ;)
