I prefer the smart trolls to the stupid ones. At least I get a laugh and my brain gets to work.

Anyway, I just can't figure out whose kids were throwing ketchup at McDonalds..............

Anyway, Which trolls do you prefer? Which do you find irritating?

What can I do next?

My all time favorite troll was the one who just KNEW her husband had been cheating on her because her baby looked nothing like her...it must look like the other woman...my husband and I still laugh about that one...

I miss Dandy too. Maybe she changed her name like the rest of us did and we'll never know. I don't think she was a troll though. Regardless, I would like her to pop on and give us an update. =0)

I think I dislike the "smart" trolls more. They are the ones who you get hoodwinked by at first glance, and you invest your time and energy in them. When I find out that they are trolling, it really pisses me off. I enjoy fun posts that are real, and I work my brain plenty with non-troll posts. I don't need the stimulation of liar's posts, like today's.

Remember the one who had a profile picture of a woman lying beside a swimming pool with a photoshopped hamburger between her butt cheeks? Though MP removed her picture, she opened up several more accounts and told us all that she likes trolling us. She has several "normal" answers on purpose.

And there's the guy who seemed normal at first, a widow with a bunch of kids who started out asking if he should date. His posts didn't add up at all - just a bunch of bull. And the older guy (what is it with these 'guys'!) who knocked up a teenager, married her and got her pregnant twice more, doesn't allow her a car and when HER father gives her a house, doesn't want to fix it up because his name isn't on the title. He won't allow the gal to have a car, yet HE feels used. What a crock. And considering the crazy PM's he sent me (and probably others), it's very apparent he has nothing to do but make up stories.

Remember the one who wrote on here saying that she was in law school? The poster couldn't write! When people pointed that out, her excuse was that she had rheumatoid arthritis and the woman who typed for her wasn't there that day. (As if that has anything to do with sentence structure at all...) I could have bought the arthritis bit if the rest hadn't been total fabrication.

At least the battery lady was funny and her posts were always short and we weren't wading through details gone wild...

And yeah, the MacDonald's troll was something else. Did you get the same PM from him/her/it that most of the rest of us got? Eyerolls up into my brain!!!

I'm still wondering who the 'smart trolls' are. I just can't believe you are all that smart if you are sitting around trolling the internet. If I'm bored, I'll take a walk, go work in the garden, pester my son into doing something fun with me or go read a book.

I guess I just don't get the allure. Oh, wait, there is none.

In my experience here (and I have had LOTS) anyone new is accused of being a troll. I was accused 5 years ago, after very sincere questions, and ended up starting a whole new profile. Was accused AGAIN, several times (by the same people, who seem to be rather paranoid about trolls-perhaps meds would help with that? LOL).
I see it all the time even now. And always the same few peeps doing the accusing. Those who deem themselves the "keepers of MP", I guess!
Thanks for trolling for trolls, guys. ;) Keepin' it real....

I like a clever troll that makes me laugh. Really the ones who keep responding and starting new questions I love.

The ones like tonight make me look far more impressive than I really am. I like a challenge they aren't challenging.

I like to laugh

I miss Dandy Lion. I don't think she was a troll, though. I remember the ketchup one.

Funny, Osohapi -- I wrote the exact same thing as you, and then looked and saw yours.

p.s. - I'm just reading "Sandy's" post, and it's kind of good. :)

What is a "troll"? When I hear that word I think of the posts that are trying to sell something (like that one yesterday about online shopping) or posts that are just nonsensical and/or written just to be offensive (haven't seen any like that in my short time on here...maybe they get removed before I see them?).

It seems like "flagged" (or "hated") posts get removed quickly on here...like on one thread I just read, a post made reference to another post being insensitive/joking, and I couldn't find anything on the thread that fit that description.

ETA: I just noticed a post that asked Jilly613 if she was a troll, bc her question about her best friend teaching was a bit unclear. But Jilly613 has posted many other questions on here (I clicked on the link to see her other posts). So I would not think she fits the definition of "troll"....?

I don't really find trolls irritating. If that's the way they want to spend their time, fine; as long as they don't waste my time. XD

I remember the McDonalds one! The troll sent me a whiny message afterwards. That wasn't good trolling on his/her part.

The Ketchup troll was funny - Justin or JM - that one though? Had been on other boards as well stirring up trouble.

Dandy Lion - at first she came on after we supposedly trashed her sister on here...not sure if she was a "troll"....but she's not been around in a long time. She could be VERY entertaining...especially when she was asking what to do with the lesbian cashier....

Steve C - he was from California - he asked questions that all got pulled...they were odd questions...

The one from this weekend - about spanking his 10 year old daughter's bare butt? Those bother me - just twisted psychos - in my opinion...

There have been others...I find the ones that are funny not as bothersome as those that are just freaks of nature....
