Now I have it really narrowed down to what i'm wanting.Right now we have a 2004 Toyota Sienna with the works to test drive look over see if we want to purchase this ok it has leather interior a ya or nay,I prefer cloth, all the Toyotas we have looked into have really high miles & the asking price is crazy with minor dents/scratches this one has some that are not noticable can be buffed out & look like they never existed this one is well kept. Can you tell me your story on yours do you like them do you own them what breaks most frequenlty on these everythig is digital that freaks me out to know end butcan't change that everything is made digital. The dealship just got in in the night before we came to see it it has yet to be detailed,& sent into the shop for any repairs or engine damages it drives well no noises, nothing. The asking price is right where we are at & looks like we can talk them down a bit this lot doesn't like to have Toyoats sitting on their lot they get sent off to auction or priced below book value.
Yes it has power assited doors/hatch back they will not close with the pinch sensors. This vehilce is loaded with sunroof, dvd player, side roll down windows & window screen cover on all 4 rear windows that roll up/down.This is way more than we we were looking for becasue the asking prices on most of these were way over to pay cash with.

We bought a used 2006 Sienna ( and yes, it was more than I ever imagined a used car would cost and we got a good deal). No issues with it. After a lifetime of driving compact cars, I was terrified to drive a honkin' huge van, but it truly does handle more like a sedan than a van. If you have kids, the inside is going to get junked up no matter what, but leather is prbably easier to clean (we have cloth and there are noticable stains and wear and tear)

I had a 2001. Hubby got me a new Jeep so we sold it :) My van drove like a cream puff. Loved it. Room galore. I had leather. Though they were slippery they cleaned easy ;) When I was wanting a van, Daddy would only agree on a Toyota. I think that they are one of the best. Got ours through a lease company and the mileage was low.

I have a loaded 2006 Sienna with leather interior that I could NOT be happier with! Bought it last year with 60K miles on it and was a little bit concerned, but it's been fantastic! No problems whatsoever and we've taken several long road trips, installed a trailer hitch and often pull a pop up camper! It drives and rides like a dream and hauls a TON of stuff (plus people). We also get good gas mileage -especially for something that large. My husband has a 99 Toyota 4Runner that's never given a minute of trouble, and I know there are always exceptions to the rule, but they are LONG distance automobiles and we love them! I'm a little bit embarrassed to love a mini van as much as I love my Sienna. It's fantastic! Oh -and I haven't had any issues with electrical/digital stuff, and mine is completely loaded with every digital and electrical option out there!

They said to you: they don't like to have Toyotas sitting in their lot, because then it gets sent off to auctions or priced below book value.

So, did you guys, look at what the "blue book value" is, for a used Toyota, for that same model???
If not, do that.
Google search it online.
THEN, compare the Blue Book value, with the price that that Dealer is offering you.

Then, think about the mileage that is on it.
You said it is really high....

Then, aside from that, you said it is a well kept vehicle. With only minor scratches/small dents that are usual with a vehicle/family van, that is of a 2004 year.

We have a Sienna. And ours is newer. We have minor scratches/dents on it too. From usual usage.

Siennas are very good.
We have never had problems with it. We also maintain it and take it in for regular servicing. Which should be done for any vehicle anyway.

As an aside: I would ask them if the van comes with TWO car keys/remotes. Not just one. Every Sienna, has 2 keys/remotes. Ours was bought brand new, and it came with 2 key sets.

Leather interior, is easy.
I had a car with leather interior.
Its perfectly fine and nice.

I have a 2001 Sienna with leather interior. Loved it then, still love it now. It has been very reliable and it is comfortable to drive. The leather interior is attractive and easy to keep clean.

I have had minor trouble with one of power side doors, sometimes it doesn't want to open/shut. Cleaning the contacts seems to help. It also wears out tires pretty rapidly, but I understand that's common with vans in general.

The only major repair we've had to do was replacing the timing belt, which is a scheduled maintenance item at around 80-90,000 miles. If the Sienna you're looking at is anywhere near that mileage, you'll want to find out whether it has already had this repair. It can be costly, and if you don't get it done in time you will get stranded somewhere when it finally breaks.

I have the 2000 LXE w/ leather interior and bucket seats, moonroof, loaded. Bought it with 60k miles on it in 2004 and it now has 132k miles on it. Love it. Nothing major has gone wrong w/ it other than regular maintenance stuff of brakes, tires, major services, etc. We removed the two back bucket seats and store then in the garage so the third row is open in the back and there is more room for Home Depot runs, etc. Have no complaints and figure we'll have it for years to come.
