Hi Marcy:
Your little girl should be fine. We worry more about formula that is over-concentrated, as it can affect the kidneys. You can let your pediatrician know, but more than likely, they will not do anything.

I went out of town and left the wrong number of scoops for my mother in law to give my almost 4 month old daugther. I told her (why I have no idea- I guess I just wasn't thinking right) to give her 2 scoops instead of three in a 6 oz bottle so she received too much water in a 3 days period. Should I do something?

Please don't worry! I'm sure she'll just be extra hungry for you the next day or two. When my oldest was 6 months old I diluted liquid formula thinking it was concentrated... it wasn't, so she was getting very little formula over a 2-3 day period. She was fine, just very hungry by the time i figured it out. The best part of it was we were trying to get her to try vegetables and she actually ate them when she was that hungry :)
I wouldn't worry about it. She'll be just fine. Kids are so resiliant!! Thank goodness! I'm thinking that if something were wrong with her you would have noticed it by now and slightly watered down formula really shouldn't hurt. BTW, congrats on your new baby:-} I have a 5 year old daughter and almost 1 year old son. I live here in mckinney too:-} pm if you need anything. M.
She should be just fine. She probably didn't sleep for grandma as much as she should have but babies can have water to drink so a watered down bottle should be no issue. :) My daughter took water at that age and she didn't have any problems.
