Does anyone know what the time difference is from here (USA West Coast) and China?
I have tried to figure it out and I'm too tired, stressed out and lazy.
Can anyone help? Ugh. I want to call a friend on their birthday today but don't want to call & wake up the house
if it's the middle of the night there. It's their home phone. They were not able to bring their cell phone.

Japan is 12 hours from me so depending on where they live it is 12-17 hours from me, East Coast.
China has 5 time zones.
I would wait a couple hours to be sure to call her in the daytime
OOPS I was just told that although CHina has 5 timezones they are on one time for the whole country, so it is now 6:22 in China no matter where they are. Sorry.
Current local time in china right now is 5:51 am. And I'm in CA.
LA time 6:00pm is 9:00am in China. So, it is safe to call after 6:00pm.
