Tile Floors - Henderson,NV

We are renting this house for a few months till we find one to purchase and the whole floor is tile except for the bedrooms. I used to love tile, but only in the wet places. I have a 1 year old who is crawling and I mop everyday, but it never stays clean-gggrrrrr. Anyone have anything they do to keep it clean? Thanks in advance. L.

What can I do next?

We've got a scooba. Its pricey, but it is awesome. It sweeps up dirt, puts down water, and squeegees too. I love not moping.

I use a steam mop to keep the tile clean. Now the grout...that is another matter.

Just use a Swiffer.

Tile floors are easy.

And don't wear shoes in the house.

I got one of those mop things hat has a removable, machine washable pad, and a built-in sprayer that you use your own cleaning solution in. (Cost $25ish at Walmart...) I just spot clean with it as needed, then give the floors a quick once-over before bed every night. I have several pads and change them out as needed, then wash at the end of the week. My entire house has hard floors, and this is so much easier than dragging out a mop all the time! Plus, you can use plain water or whatever safe cleaning agent to keep the floors safe for your baby.
