The Store Left the Magnetic Ink Thing on Pants

So I went to the mall and bought my husband some jeans since he ripped his and when I got home and went to wash them I found that the store left the little magnetic ink thing on the pants. Does anyone know of a safe way to remove this at home? Its so inconvenient to go to the mall...its a 35 minute drive and I have 6 month old twin boys...so you can imagine.

What can I do next?

DO NOT try to remove it yourself! It has ink in it for a reason and that is to ruin your pants if you tamper with it. You will not be able to get it off without triggering the ink. You can call the store and ask if they have a store closer to you or take it to another store that can remove it. Bring your receipt, though. Good luck!

I would take it back to the store, so they can remove it. The same thing happened to me and it is so inconvenient! I swore I would check my items every time I left the checkout. A few years later it happened again. My mother-in-law tried to remove it and ruined her bedspread. So unless your husband likes tie die ( I probably spelled that wrong lol) take it back. Congratulations on your twins!!

Call the store and tell them your situation. Maybe they can refer you to a store closer that has magnetic ink things as well that will remove it for you? Otherwise just go this weekend and have hubby stay in the car w/the kids while you run in. I know, not fun but I wouldn't try to do it yourself.

Call the store and see what they recommend. If they insist that you must come in, ask to speak to a manager and see if they will offer a discount on the pants or some other compensation. I'm sure there's a store nearby that can remove the ink tag, though. Good luck!
