The DYNAMITE DUO??

What does everyone think of this Acai berry and colon cleanse thing you see all over the internet? Has anyone tried it? Oprah is doing this? Not sure if it is a scam or if it really works? I like that it is endorsed by Dr. Oz and the Acai Berry is endorsed by Dr. Perricone. It seems natural enough, although I hesitate on the colon cleanse. I have considered an herbal form like Dr. Christopher's... Also, would it be any Acai Berry, or does it have to be a certain brand...they all seem different anyway?? (Good Earth store brand o.k?) Just a thought, but I will probably just end up going back to the basic, "Eat healthy and exercise!!" LOL (I just signed up for WW online too, so I am hitting it at all angles!!)

Ya know I tried that before I got prego last fall and when I stopped taking the acai berry my guts were in for it!!!! It felt like it was tearing my insides up as it was passing through for the last time. I know I wouldn't try it again.

I looked into colon cleanses recently but because I am nursing I have to hold off. This is what I found out but I have yet to try it and so I don't have real experience but I trust to source.
Arise and Shine is the best one on the market. you are supposed to do it for 4 weeks although the bottle tells you to do it for 3 days...it is not long enough to get rid of muciod plaque (it is this nasty black stuff that comes out and usually scares people) I guess that is the result that you want regardless of the cleanse that you use. The muciod plaque buildup is what causes the big tummy. But then you have to do a parasite cleanse as well and that will benifit your colon and the best one out there is the awareness parasite cleanse.
I ordered the acia berry and I like the way it made me feel but the automatic hit to my credit card each month scared me away.
So there you have my 2 cents and my research but I am going to be trying it in about 4 months right along with you so I guess I think there is something to it all.

Don't do it! It doesn't work and you get stuck paying for stuff you didn't know you signed up for that was in the fine print. Then if you go to get the charges reversed, the number is either disconnected or the people are very rude. WW and exercise is a great idea!

The Advanced Wellness Duo is a rip off. It is $70 @ a bottle. The Acai contains caffeine to the equivalent of 2 cups of coffe. Not good. Monavie is more pure, but it is $40 a bottle, which is fairly high, I think. You can get better deals with the same qualities at health food stores or Costco.

I dont know much about the Acai berry diet. But I have heard that Colon cleansing is not very good for you. It can get ride of the "good" bactieria in your intestines and could lower your immune system.

I think you are on the right track doing the "eat healthy and exercise" method. If WW online doesnt work for you, Try Sparkpeople.com It's free and it has tons of information on there. Fitness and food trackers, motivational, and informational articles. And TONS of community support and message groups. I really like Sparkpeople. good luck with your fitness goals!

Stacy,

Hi, I live in Parker, CO. I just ordered it myself about a month ago and feel like it's a SCAM. I tried it FREE (so they say) and paid for shipping of $5 and 2 weeks later same company debited my checking account $79. and I called them and said NO WAY - I don't want another bottle. They wouldn't do anything for me. I'm unemployed and didn't have that to be spending.
I was very unhappy with the product, it didn't do anything for me. Not one pound.

I have the rest of my bottle if you want to try it.

Take care!!

If you want to lose weight, it is a big rip off. I tried it and the "free trial" takes forever to get to you, and by then they have charged you the full amount of money. I can say that the Acai berry capsule does help with bloating and gas, and has made a huge difference. But weight lose - not at all. I'm doing weight watchers and have lost 30 pounds in about 30 weeks. The WW program is easy and simple.
Good luck.

Hi S.,
I imagine you are looking for weight loss right? I would highly recommend the Alli. I have been taking it for about a month now and lost about 10-15 lbs. (Don't know how much is water weight. haha) It's not an appetite suppressant but just a fat blocker. You get around 15-18 grams of fat per meal. Anything over and you might be in trouble. It can be a bit pricey about 40-50 bucks for the start up kit (which includes a guide and eating out options and registration at their website which helps keep track of weight loss, not to mention the free goodies you receive as you meet your goals.

Ok enough of the endorsement. =) Just another option to look into. Good luck in the weight loss. If you need support just shoot me a note!

Hi S.,
I have recently come across this new company here in Utah that takes a fresh look at losing weight. It looks at it from a balance angle. I highly recommend taking a look into it. The company is called Totell -my total wellness. The website is www.totellwellness.com. I met the owner at a seminar and heard her speak and present her program. She is an amazing mother of 4.
Good luck, L.

I believe the old methods are better in the end. You can go on some crazy weight loss program and lose weight in an unhealthy way and very soon after you are back where you were plus some extra pounds. It is hard to wait for weight loss, but it is worth it in the end because you have developed good exercise and eating habits for life.
I personally believe Curves is the best plan around. Not only do you get regular exercise that gives you strength training and cardio in a 1/2 hour, but you can also make new friends and have a personal trainer that is free to help you with your goals. I go to the one on Alameda and Broadway and Rachel is awesome. I lost 10 pounds last year in about 3 months and kept it off all year. I am on the 2nd week of the diet again trying to take off another 10 pounds to reach my goal weight.
As a plus, they have a special on for the month of march that you bring in a bag of canned foods for the food bank and the intial membership fee ($150) is waived. I did attend a free weight loss clinic that is offered every month as well. I have also joined curvescomplete.com which helps track what I eat and gives great resources and support. Come join me! D. Don't do it!! I have had 3 friends try it and in the long run were screwed into paying a lot more than they bargained for. The only thing they liked was the energy it gave them. But they tried recovering money that was charged to their accounts and it was a nightmare. They both said to tell everyone not to get into it. If you want to try something like that ask at Vitamin cottage or Whole Foods.

Don't do it. It is a scam. It's not really a free trial like they say.We did it and they totally rip you off. We got our free bottle all right but then they billed us $75 a bottle and they do that every single month it is really outrageous. Not to mention lots of people are sueing them to get their money back. Since they lie and there have been lots of articles in the news about the scams. Unfortunately they were too late for us.

I ordered the Acai berry burn but unlike the others I used a disposable credit card. When ordering anything off the inter net you have to be very careful about who and what information you give out. I haven't tried it yet because I am still nursing my son, but plan on taking it along with eating well and a daily run on the treadmill. Good luck with your weight loss.

Hi S.!

I tried the Acai Berry and a Colon Cleanse. I received my shipments within a few days. I didn't feel that they were working for me. I only tried them for a couple weeks or so but I felt a little constipated on them. I did not have any problem cancelling them. I called within the "trial period". With Acai Berry, after I told them I wanted to cancel they offered me a 3 month supply for $18. When I still said no they offered a 3 month supply for $8. Tempting but I still said no and they didn't push anymore. So, if you do decide to try it, just make sure you cancel within the "trial period" of about 14 days or they will charge you the full amount. I asked if I had to send back the remaining pills and they said no.

I also just joined WW only yesterday. I tried it once before and lost 20 lbs really fast but then I stopped and gained it back. My sis-in-law has been doing it for a little over a year and has lost 50 lbs. She looks great and has accepted that she will be doing it her entire life.

We should keep in touch and let each other know our WW progress.

Good Luck!
