Here's my husband's Aunt Patty's

5 Sweet potatoes peeled, cooked, mashed
1 Cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 Cup butter
1 Tsp vanilla
Mix well, put in buttered 13x9

Topping

1 Cup brown sugar
1 Cup nuts, I use pecans
1/3 Cup flour
1/3 Cup melted butter
Mix together and sprinkle on top. It will be gloppy but will melt into the pie and is so good.

Bake 20 minutes at 350*

If this dish isn't at Thanksgiving every year there will be a rebellion in our family.

I dont have a recipe, but my friends who makes sweet potato pies all the time always says to roast the potatoes in the oven, not boil them. roasting really brings out the flavor. good luck!
