Ok so I'm totally freaking out (so I've been on a question asking spree) thanks for any input ladies! I got pretty bad stretch marks with my first pregnancy. i didn't even gain super fast but they are hereditary so I got blessed. Anyway my daughter is almost two, the ones on my tummy and the sides of my thighs are considerably light but I am so self conscious... we have a vacation coming up with both sides of our family (my husband and my parents, sisters, etc) and I really want to wear my bikini, I've worked hard to drop my baby weight and I'm overall toned but it's these dang stretch marks that have me hyperventilating! Am I over worrying or is seeing stretch marks on the beach as gross to other people as I think it will be? I honestly don't think it's gross when i see other women but what do all of you think? Is there anything out there like super hold makeup that i can cover them with that'll stand up to the sun and ocean water? HELP!!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks so much, y'all!!! I am now pregnant again and am tracking my belly (or lack thereof right now at 4 weeks:) ) and i looked at the pic and i agree with what one mom said about them not being as visible from a distance and after listening to all of the support I don't really care. I have a ton of other scars (appendectomy surgery, carpal tunnel so i have huge scars on my wrists..) that are really visible and the stretch marks came from the best gift ever! so im rockin a bikini!

I have awful stretch marks on my stomach, and a LOT of loose skin... BUT, I still rock a bikini. I guess I got the the point where I just didn't care anymore... no, I'm not perfect, but 97% of everyone else on the beach isn't perfect either. Have a drink to relax, throw your inhibitions and insecurities to the wind, and enjoy LIFE. You're not alone. Eventually I will get a tummy tuck to correct this, but in the meantime, I enjoy the sun and water waaaay too much for a little imperfection to hold me back. LOVE YOURSELF!!

EVERYONE has them! and if they don't then they are just lucky. Listen name buddy, there are a lot of things to be self conscious about. Don't let anything that is as silly as marks on your skin make you not wear your bikini. If you worked hard enough to get that bikini body, don't let your skin stop you!! Strut your stuff and be proud that you suffered 9 months for your baby!!!! Enjoy Hawaii!
p.s. my full name is M. McCall!! How funny we are both M. M! Well I have a last name, but are initials are close! funny!

I am lucky not to have these - one good thing from my mama! But honestly, even as a woman without them, I have never seen a woman with a bikini bod like yours and thought twice about her stretch marks. Who cares what others think?! Worry about your hubby and him alone! The more confident you are, the better others think you look. GET THAT BIKINI ON WOMAN!

Stretch marks are not gross. The thought of putting makeup on them, however is super gross. You have them, they will be with you forever. Embrace them and consider them a part of you just like the color of your eyes. Enjoy your vacation.

I had this same problem when my son was about 2 and I finally had a bikini body. I just selected a bikini that had a higher waisted bottom with a really small top.

Now I'm not in bikini shape but know I will have to be seen in a swim suit this summer so I'm opting for the sexier than a bikini tankini. Those seem to cover your trouble spots while leaving the right amount of skin exposed at your sides.

Just strut your stuff with pride. Other people don't worry about what they look like. Wear the skin your in with pride.

I have them on my breasts, bottom tummy, and tops of legs. They, like yours, are faded. I work hard for a healthy body so that I can feel good. Bikinis are just lagniappe. Part of my happiness is my children, I am the vessel used to carry them, and my marks are my road maps to this happiness. I think its beautiful personally; a badge of motherly honor if you will. ROCK IT, and don't worry about the rest.

Congrats on your bikini body. I don't know if this will work for stretch marks, but cross dressers use something called "pancake" to cover their 5 o'clock shadows. It might work for you too.
If you can't cover them, wear them like a badge of honor a testament to your awesome mamma self.

Arbonne has a couple of Creams that can help one is called Firming Body Cream and the other is Rejuvinating Cream. The Firming Body Cream helps tighten the skin as well as get rid of the stretch marks. Since the products are made with Natural Ingredients a little goes a long way and they are safe. If you want to know more just PM me. PS I don't think they are gross we as Mom's should wear them with pride!

I have stretch marks all over my stomach and I wear a bikini :) One thing that I noticed from seeing myself in pics is that most of the people are at a distance that they can't even see your stretch marks! Just stand far back from a mirror and you will see what I mean. Also, just plain old self tanner will make them look a lot better also. Don't be self conscious, you worked hard to get rid of your baby weight and I am sure you look damn good for a mama so don't be afraid to show off your hard work! :) Have fun - I am jealous, I want a vacation!!

Girl .. if you can use "I'm overall toned" in a sentence, don't dare hesitate or think twice about tossing on that bikini and hitting the outdoors with your family! If anyone is fretting over how you look, it would be only you anyway. Being able to spend the time (1) vacationing, (2) with family is something to celebrate. Take lots of pictures! You'll cherish them later!
