My 5 1/2 year old loves his transformers shoes, but they are really starting to stink! I've tried baking soda and running them through the washer with no luck. Do you know any tips for getting rid of the smell!?
Try putting fabric softner sheets in them. You could spray
them with some febreeze. This is some things I would try.
Also, if your sons feet smell bad they say and even Dr O
says to put his feet in some tea water. Take tea bags and
boil the water. And of course since he is young make the
water tolerable for him. My best to you. I, too, raised 3
boys.
I just read that putting crumpled up newspaper in them overnight might help?!
Yeah, the newspaper thing really does work.
try soaking them with rubbing alcohol, it kills the bacteria that causes the stink. You can buy a big bottle at walmart.
You can also get odor eater things that you can put in them or powders meant specifically for this problem. Just cause he is little doesn't mean that his feet don't sweat in his shoes. Another thing to try if he has lots of problems with stinky feet is to get two pairs of shoes and alternate them. That way they have a day to air out before he wears them again. Also make sure next time you are buying shoes that they have little wholes in the top for air vents.
