I need help with spring break ideas here in my hometown. I was thinking about getting a hotel so that the kids could go swimming and maybe see a movie. Do you have any suggestions of hotels in a nice chicago suburb and any other suggesstions on vacationing in our hometown?

holiday inn on York and Grand in Elmhurst has a Mayan Adventure water park, and is right between downtown Elmhurst and Addison. Both areas have indoor and outdoor things to do - mini-golf, movies, great food, etc.
I have never been but I think there might be a few choices in Gurnee?
Keylime Cove isn't that far out and it's a lot of fun!!!
KeyLime Cove in Gurnee is a blast!! It's an indoor waterpark with lots of other indoor activities for the family.
