Spanish Schoolhouse in General and North Dallas Location in Particular

I'm very interested in SH for my 2 year old for preschool next year. We are closest to the North Dallas location. Everything I've read about the school overall is favorable but the only info I could find about the ND location was that the facility was dark with no windows. I have not visited yet and thought I would ask you ladies for any comments/concerns, etc. Most important to me (obviously) is whether the teachers are loving and caring but a bright happy physical environment is also a factor. Any thoughts about SH in general or ND location in particular would be appreciated. Thanks!

What can I do next?

Our 2 year old started at the Rowlett location this fall. We love it! Not only are his teachers loving and gentle, but the director and office personnel are too. We interviewed several pre-schools and found this to be the only one with such a caring environment. Our son is eager to go to school, and excited about everything he did in school when he comes home. The curriculum is excellent, and he is already starting to say more Spanish words at home.

We love it there! We're not at the ND location, but another and have been there 3 yrs now. The reason why I chose it for my son was that they were the MOST loving preschool we visited. My son went to another school, and it just wasn't for us. I wanted someone to love my son while he was there, not a cold academic environment. The Spanish is just a plus for us too. I would suggest you tour them and check it out for yourself. That will give you a better idea. See how your child responds to the environment and see how the other children are. Good luck!

My 2 year old son is at the ND Spanish Schoolhouse this year, and is loving it. He goes in happy and comes out happy. He's proud of his uniform (T-shirt with Spanish Schoolhouse logo) because it makes him feel like my older two kids who wear uniforms to school. The teachers are very affectionate and nurturing to the kids...lots of hugs. Definitely go visit and watch how your child responds to the environment. If you're not planning to enroll until next September, you should wait to take your child for a visit until February or March. Your child changes so much so fast right now that a few months make a big difference in what feels overwhelming and what looks like fun.

Good Luck,
S.

Lisa, which facility are you at? I've thought of going there, too and would love to know where you've had you're good experience. I'm in Allen, and I know they just opened one in McKinney, too.

Thanks!
