We go to Southdale Peds in Burnsville. We started with Dr. Oie as our primary, she is nice but we switched to Dr. Hansen after having her once, we really like her. She is SO patient and kind and will let me know if I am over-reacting (which I tended to do when my daughter was younger). We also have seen Dr. Joan Williams and like her. One time we got Timothy Nies and he was AWESOME, but I don't think he usually goes to Burnsville, he must have been covering a shift or something. I would go out of my way to see him again, he was that good.

We had a bad experience with Dr. Morkeberg and will not see him again. Dr. Mitha misdiagnosed Pneumonia by seeing it in an xray when it was not there, therefore my daughter got a much stronger antibiotic than needed (which is never good because it can lead to antibiotics not working in the future). Dr. Hansen told us at her next visit that she had not had pneumonia, according to the specialist that reads the xrays (at a later date apparently?).

A couple things I like about them are their after hours 'sick clinic', great for working parents. Also, we have had to call the on call nurse about a couple 'emergencies' and they are good at getting back to you right away and usually good with advice.

I go to PYAM in maplewood. My regular pediatrician is Dr. Plotnik. But I have seen Dr. Sieferman who also practices in Eagan and he is wonderful.

We like Pediatric and Young Adult Medicine. My 4 kids see Dr. Siefferman and occasionally Dr. DelaHunty if he's not available. Both are great. Dr. Siefferman may come off as being rushed during routine appts, but he is very thorough and really takes the time to explain things when you ask or when it really matters. My daughter needed surgery when she was a baby and not only did he explain all our options, refer us to several specialists and take time to answer all our questions at his office, but he also personally called a few days later to see if we had any more questions.

My son also had some issues while we were on vacation. We saw a number of doctors including many "specialists" while we were out of town and they all gave different diagnoses and basically just pushed us on to the next dr. But Dr. Siefferman took the time to check all the lab work and follow through, diagnosis and treat correctly.

We used to go to the Lake Elmo Clinic, but Dr. Siefferman is not regularly there, so we now go to either Eagan or Maplewood. Stay away from Dr. Coyne. And Dr. Baran (I think that's his name...) should have retired quite awhile ago.

We use Southdale Peds out of EP and LOVE them. THe office staff is a bit crotchety (sp??) but the Dr.'s and nurses are great.
