Hey Mamas!
Alright, so my family (mom, dad, sister, her husband and baby, and brother) are all coming to our home for Mother's Day this year, and I have no clue where good brunches are in the area! I am in El Segundo, so anything here or in Manhattan, Hermosa, or Redondo would be amazing. Yes, I know El Torito has brunch but I want it to be something special and pretty (and maybe by the beach?). Champagne Brunches would be even better! I have gone to places that totally down play when it comes to holidays, so maybe you ladies will know of something that you have heard of or been to that was awesome.

SO... Anybody have an suggestions on where will have awesome Sunday Brunches for Mother's Day in the South Bay?

Thanks in advance! =)

I have a few places you may be interested in http://www.theproudbird.com/proudbird/brunch.aspx - This link is for the The Proud Bird not too far from you and this is a very nice restaurant with brunch. They have a Mother's Day Brunch from 9am-3pm. Then there is this link http://www.shanghairedsrestaurant.com/shanghai_reds/brunc... - This is Shanghai Red Restaurant. They too, have a Mother's Day Brunch from 9am -3pm. My favorite is this link http://www.reefrestaurant.com/the_reef/. Why? It is right next to the beach and its wonderfully beautiful and elegant as all of the other restaurants. Since you mentioned maybe right off the beach I knew this may be the perfect choice. They all serve UNLIMITED CHAMPAGNE! Awesome right!...Check out the links and I am positive you and your family will certainly enjoy either one of these restaurants. Just try and make a reservation as soon as possible considering Mother's Day is right around the corner;and might I add all are $40.00 and under per person, all you can eat, very classy and elegant. Great Deal!

Hope I have been a help!

See what they have to offer at the Terranea Resort in PV...it's beautiful, right on the coast. They have a number of restaurants, but I think only one serves a nice, sit down breakfast...can't remember the name. Also, not too far is Cafe Del Rey in Marina Del Rey, right on the marina...haven't eaten there in a while but was always really good food. Happy Mother's Day!

maybe some of the restaurants at Ports O Call in San Pedro, not sure which ones to recommend, but I'm sure there is something nice with a water view.
I would have recommended Terranea or Trump, but someone else already said that.
Another thing is a brunch cruise, either out of Marina del Rey, San Pedro, or Long Beach, but they might already be booked too. I used to work for Hornblower Dining Yachts a long long time ago, the brunches were really nice.

Happy Mother's Day Beth...not exactly in the area you specified, but the Queen Mary has an amazing brunch!! I don't think I've ever been anywhere that had more food. We went for my daughter's birthday a couple of years ago and it was fabulous!! Pretty area too, and after brunch you can walk around the ship and work off all that food!

Although not super close to the beach, but McCormick & Schmick's (on Rosecrans) used to have a nice brunch, which was also somewhat affordable...

I second the recommendation for Terranea. They have a killer brunch and it's such a beautiful place - would be fun to show your family and it's only 20 minutes from the South Bay - beautiful drive! Also 10 minutes further is Trump's Golf Course which has a great brunch and endless free champagne/mimosas. It's pricey - $70 per person but it is SO GOOD. Another beautiful spot you can show off to your family.

A few more suggestions: The Chart House in Redondo. The Portofino Hotel in Redondo. Cheesecake factory in Redondo is on the water and has a great brunch (though will probably be packed).
